I thought most scouting networks were made up of volunteers / Saints fans  watching their son play at the racecourse and spotting a gem on the next pitch "  , I would h it would be the managers responsibility to have a network in place to identify he best young players locally

Good luck to Jack Ross. He is now the manager so at least we can support him into this role. I think it's a positive move, obviously no guarantee comes with any appointment but under the circumstances I reckon he's a decent appointment. As an ex player as well from more recent times he'll at least know about us and having a familiarity with the club set up that should help. He will be aware of our expectations I'm sure, he'll obviously know himself that st mirren aspire and require to be well above where we presently reside. Let's hope the guy does well and support him. At least he speaks well so he can if required dress up failure in an articulate way. I'll leave my request for a full tempo energy rich high pressing game till we push for play offs in March next year. [emoji8]

Remember when Allen and I were doing the Love Street DVD. We were in the empty ground about 3 o'clock one day and there was one guy out on the pitch just crossing balls from wide, then going to get them and doing it all again.
Asked Tommy the groundsman who it was, yes, it was Jack Ross out there on his own.
If he can bring that attitude as manger he will do very well.

Its not just goals we need Mehmet for , we need a hard working centre forward that can hold the ball up and wait for support , or if necessary take the ball to the corners towards the end of the game and see the game out .I think he would do very well for us , he worked well feeding Dornan when he made his runs , wonder if he could do the same with wee Stevie Mallan

We are crying out for a lift. Billy was a talismanic figure, and never gave less than his all. He is a thoroughly decent human being, and a consummate professional.
Absolute no brainer for me.
