  1. Trumpet it from the rooftops! 😛
  2. 4-0 win over Indonesia, safely through to next round - the 1/4 finals. Baccus again subbed in 86th minute.
  3. FFS, has he left already? He will do. Soon, it seems. Stav set for Saints exit Maccabi Haifa look set to recall Stav Nahmani from St Mirren but are open to keep him in Scotland. The Israeli under-21 is to have his Buddies’ stint cut short. Maccabi sent Nahmani out on loan to get first-team experience in Europe. The Israel side is set to trigger their recall in the coming days. Nahmani has netted three goals despite limited game time under Stephen Robinson. The 21-year-old has had limited game time in Paisley and St Mirren have just added striker James Scott. Robinson has continually talked up the striker and will be disappointed to lose him. The move would also allow St Mirren to save wages after they took in Scott, Jaden Brown and Elvis Bwomono this month. Maccabi would be open to loaning Nahmani out to another Premiership club. They may even consider a Scottish Championship move to get him more overseas experience.
  4. Final score, too! Wee diddy team beat big rich squad at their big stadium.
  5. Maidstone beating Ipswich 2-1 in cup with 10 minutes left.
  6. Doesn’t seem so… Just, understandably, getting bored by the repetitive, cyclical nature of the work. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/jan/26/jurgen-klopp-to-step-down-as-liverpool-manager-at-end-of-season
  7. 1-1 with Uzbekistan. Oz top their group. Baccus subbed in 86th minute eta Oz were awarded a penalty by someone who can only previously have been a ref who usually “performs” at Ibrox. lucky Oz.
  8. I believe some of us did know… … but it’s always worth bringing up again. I do - with a poor soul I know, who supports them.
  9. And by looking at it, you pay for him. i’ll repeat… FFS! 🥺
  10. The move’s no deid, yet! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67997770
  11. Far be it be it for me to suggest that faraway/long John baldy is more accurate than usual about anything, but… …this time (despite fartaway/long John baldy not being allowed to post in here) I think he’s right. The Cameron/pig thing is probably shite. (although it might have been a studenty fancy of his…j
  12. Looking at the vids, he’ll be perfectly at home on the Livvi surface. Also, note he’s physically bigger, more solid than the people he’s beating in his challenges.
  13. I was also surprised - and concerned for div’s health… (as I am about everyBuddie younger than me). Glad to hear it was just tech-shit!
  14. Ian Hislop slagging another late-to-the party Tory MP… Amusing. https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/ian-hislop-jake-berry-peston-post-office-scandal-b2476800.html

  16. I’ve been following this debacle in Private Eye for at least a decade. And this distraction about a very few fraudsters and thieves was brought up many times to excuse the appalling treatment meted out by the PO. The only people who might currently “benefit” from the recent Govt and PO about-turns are those who were (to quote the govt) “wrongfully convicted”. ALL honest people who were treated abominably. And just in case an odd one pops up that was truly perfidious… “Business minister Kevin Hollinrake told the Commons that sub-postmasters will be asked to sign a statement to declare they did not commit the crime before receiving compensation. He said: “As far as possible we want to avoid guilty people walking away with hundreds of thousands of pounds of public money, but we cannot make the provision of compensation subject to a detailed examination of guilt.” He added: “All we ask is that as part of their claims of compensation postmasters sign a statement to the effect they did not commit the crimes of which they are accused. “Anyone subsequently found to have signed such a statement untruthfully will be putting themselves at risk of prosecution of fraud." An exaggeration about “hundreds of thousands of pounds of public money” not being wasted… and total silence about the millions already ploughed into ignoring the problem, trying to make it go away plus court losses, loss of business and wasting PO and Govt time and money.

  18. Oooooh. I’ve always liked Mowbray. Wish him all the best, but… …that is just a awfully precarious outfit currently to be involved with. He’d have been better waiting for an offer from an Argentine consortium….
  19. 26 minutes Morton 1 up on dufc.
  20. I also flitted between them - and a few other channels seeking anything interesting. Boring, indeed. I recall a few tasty, enjoyable games against Dunfermline. They’ve really lost their way…
