  1. Actually I think a lot of the credit for bringing belief back to the club should go to Gordon Scott and the new board, Smisa and Buy the Buds, the Fans Council with there 1877 club, Young Josh with his drum, and his band of brothers with flags and banners, and last but not least, our hardcore fans, they all have galvanised our club, and put the club back on a firm footing, Jack Ross done a great job of that there is no doubt, but he didn't do it alone, time will tell how good jack really is, as next year should be a cake walk for him ? everything fell into place here for him, A forward thinking new Chairman and board, Kyle McAllister going to Derby and helping to fund the January transfer window, great young players at his disposal in Mallan more funding Magennis etc etc And where would we have been without Lewis Morgan last season ?? Managers and players will always come and go, its always gonna be that way, But for me and you its SMTID
  2. You missed out 1988 auld yin when Ruud Gullit made us famous all over the world, sadly for the wrong reasons
  3. East Anglian Daily Times now saying its a two horse race,, and running a poll, so get voting ? I just voted Paul Hurst
  4. What happens if we draw them in a cup tie and take them to penalty kicks, do we take the pens in front of there fans or the other end in front of their other fans
  5. Lets hope by this time next week this thread will be buried in the Black & White archive`s one way or another, am really looking forward to getting back to normal, reading Ricky`s new threads on season tickets and Shulls Obituary column, never thought I`d ever say that
  6. Well said Ronnie a bit of reality, There`s no doubt Jack and his staff has done a fantastic job for us this past 18 month, but he was also he was given the tools to do the job, by the new board, and us who stayed with the team when all seemed lost, in a league where we should always be competing at the top end of the table, And I am 100% certain if our old board had still been there and Jack was our manager we would have been relegated. would our old board have sanctioned bringing in 9 or 10 players in the January window, ABSOLUTELY no chance, So these last 18mth have been a team effort, and the big test for Jack comes next season, can he do the business at the next level, with us in Premiership or with Ipswich in the Championship, if he can then maybe he really is the next Messiah. But in all honesty like a few posters on here, am getting a bit fed up with all this WILL HE WON`T HE Managerial merry go round every couple of months, this has got to be the last one, we as a club have a big season ahead too, we need stability and everything in place now to plan for next year , so its time to make your mind up Jack ? take the job if its offered, or commit to us for the Premiership next year, what`s it to be.
  7. Islamic State were advertising last week for a milkman paying 15k a week, there were 100,000 applicants in first 24hours, it doesn`t make it a good job Reuser it just pays very well
  8. Thought you being a Tractor Boy from East Anglia you be more into Chedd-ARRRR
  9. Am not so sure he would have ,,, but good luck anyway Harry
  10. Never thought much of Ipswich either when I was there , mind you that was nearly 40 year ago , its near neighbour Norwich as I remember was a beautiful city
  11. I think Jack will stay for another season, The challenge next season is massive for him, if he succeeds the sky`s the limit.
  12. There`s no doubt the fans opinion should have been heard on a decision like this that`s what I thought I was buying into in smisa, ultimately the board would have the final say, My biggest gripe is no attempt has been made to try and capitalise on the good feel factor of last season and sell these seats to our own fans and keep the old firm hoards to one end of the stadium, I know history has shown some of our fans will give these games a body swerve, understandably some will just leave the kids at home. so to invite WERE UP TO OUR KNEES IN ******** BLOOD BRIGADE ETC ETC to the family stand will in my mind stop more of our fans from attending, Inevitably after feedback and ticket sales this is decision the board would have to make, but how much better would it have been if fans in all stands were giving targets to buy up season tickets. and were giving the chance to make the environment at Greenhill Road the one we all want it to be
  13. Correct Ricky the football club of Edinburgh was the first ever club solely dedicated to football, and here is another piece of sporting history you probably didn't know .... The first ever recorded reference of a contest using curling stones were found in 1541 in paisley... paisley abbey to be precise, so we invented curling anaw
  14. Exactly. this was the perfect time to push on as a club, to show how ambitious we are, to build our home support, everything was in place, the perfect storm so to speak, if we are serious of being a top 6 team 5000+ home fans should be a target that's achievable, the fan base is there go get them, instead of sitting down discussing how many old firm fans we should let in and counting the cash and sending out the wrong message, we should have been exploring all avenues and initiatives to fill the seats with our own fans FIRST, and not biting off the hand that feeds you.
  15. Thought it was him, He said Fergie released him, yet I was sure Fergie was away before we signed McDougall memory must be fading
  16. Where am from we don't go running to the polis every time we have a problem, buddies on here can ignore my warnings if they choose and that includes you, but I know you wont.. ps You really should get out more Oaktree, witches, lynch mobs, and then you go and miss out the burning cross in the front garden, and you were doing really well too lol
  17. That's the problem were not even trying to fill the seats, so were not taking the club forward were doing the opposite. and sending out the wrong message to our fans, if they are so desperate for the old firm coin put in temporary stands in the north corners or give them a section of the Main Stand it shouldn't be too difficult, the South Stand should stay as it is
