A bit of good news!

Working for a living is highly recommended. I did it until I was 70 or so. Looking forward to being in the stadium on Saturday to celebrate a great season and maybe, just maybe, a win against the lads in Blue.

Has the makings of a good trip. Given that NI operates under EU rules (more or less) this might count as a European Adventure- nah.

I have little in the way of fashion sense but black and white stripes do it for me.

As another poster said…..finished up with drinks getting thrown back and forward. Stewards and police holding our guys back. Sad to say that our young lads spent most of the time not watching the game but instead noising up the Celtic fans ceaselessly. Took a lot of the shine off the game for me. I clearly am getting old, but I see no value in that behaviour.

Main was outstanding and could (should) have had a hat trick. Off the park the behaviour of some our young guys and some Celtic fans was appalling. Happy to take the point but unhappy that these young guys think that they represent the values of our club. Moan over!

The SMFC ship has sailed through troubled waters before and no doubt will again in the future. The difference now is that there are three clear interests involved with the club as owners and/or facilitators towards the drive to become a truly community club. Take overs, for that is what happened here with the change of ownership provide an opportunity to shake the tree and see what falls out. Sadly, but unavoidably, this tends to lead to changes of direction, methods of operating and systems with the executable redundancies. Throwing blame around is easy. I am just glad that we are here, competitive and with crowds increasing. This is a good time to be a bud.

The manager has taken the first step which was, IMO, to make us difficult to defeat. The next is arguably more difficult and that is to add one or maybe two 12-15 goals a season strikers without changing the shape of the team too much.

I can’t see that being allowed SS but I could see their Colts becoming the de facto teams playing in the Scottish Leagues as a feeder for their top teams playing in another league. I hope neither scenario comes about.

HSS….Are they as good live?

Has anyone attended a Peat & Deisel gig? Heard their music on a Scottish made film about football a year or more ago. Punk Folk might describe their music. The band is from the Hebrides.

A tough ask. A draw would be welcome and a win would be fabulous.

I am not in favour. My ultimate concern is that should Celtic and Rangers leave the SPFL then the Colts would slot into their places.

I appreciate the input of AW over the years but all involved need to move on. Announce the results of the election and move on. IMO the SMFC , Kibble and Foundation present unique opportunities going forward and should be judged on outcomes going forward rather than looking back.

Myself, both sons, grandson, two granddaughters, two nephews and a pal of mine have tickets for the game. Any favourable result would be very welcome.COYS

I agree that, as things stood, pre invasion, Ukraine would have had at least a long wait to be able to join either the EU or NATO. A lot of changes were and still will be required in the internal governance mechanisms before either would be agreed.
