  1. Any chance someone cost post a link to periscope stream?
  2. Nah that doesn't make me a tit. Wouldn't matter how many games were to go if we were more than 3 points behind with only one game against Ayr left. Still wouldn't be in our own hands. It's the games in hand that makes me a tit.
  3. I could be wrong but I'm sure I've seen Stevenson play in goal before for Hearts and remember him looking quite handy. Can't remember the circumstances. However the very fact that Rovers are playing what must be one of their best outfield players in goal suggests he must be decent. By the way, folk saying our future is in our own hands? How do you work that out? We're more than 3 points behind Ayr and we only play them one more time. How is our future in our own hands? Apologies for the pedantry.
  4. Cracking wee article except for the use of "baited breath" (dear oh dear oh dear) and "Laverty". What else would you expect from that shitey rag right enough.
  5. The Scotland game is on the Sunday, which is the day I thought the final was scheduled for. If they play the final on the Saturday instead then fair enough.
  6. Sorry if this has been discussed before but am I right in saying the final is the same day as Scotland v Slovenia? if so, that is totally phukin shambolic even by the Scottish football authorities standards!
  7. How anyone can watch (or not watch in some cases) any Saints game and think it's not important is beyond me. Especially a semi final of any description. Wasnae like that in my day.
  8. Hearts fan on the TAMB claiming they've agreed a deal to sign Isma. Bassturts!
  9. I'd forgotten that until you just said it. Had also forgotten that the quarter final was the very next weekend. As a skint 19 year old I was probably keeping my powder dry and hoping for a trip through to Edinburgh at the weekend.
  10. Funny how times change. In the 90s I'd have thought nothing special of that team after the teams of the 70s and 80s but now I'd chew your arm off for it. That was a really good line up
  11. I was at that game too and also remember the bother in the ground. This was my last Scottish Cup run before leaving to Jersey. Think we beat Falkirk in the next round after a replay which I couldn't make it to for some reason, but I remember going to the quarter final at Tynecastle the week before I left. We got tanked 4-1 but I'm sure Campbell Money either got sent off or carried off early doors and it was the days before sub goalies. i left Paisley the following Saturday and the next Scottish Cup tie I attended was a little game in May 1987.
  12. Only saw the second half but was very impressed. Defence looked very solid as did the big keeper and always looked dangerous on the break. Hopefully the turning point.
  13. Sounded like the announcer just said 523 Buds at the game. thats outstanding all things considered.
  14. I've got Sports Mania mate. Where did you find DeeTV?
  15. What? Aye there is a thread or aye I'm the only person who's seen it. If the former, where's the thread?
  16. The West Brom match in 1977 is the best friendly football match I've ever seen......like ever!
  17. Or am I the only person who's seen it.... http://m.heraldscotland.com/sport/14566317.Exclusive__Qatari_consortium_make_bid_for_St_Mirren/
  18. Aw c'mon. Is it no' about time somebody gave StuD a wee bite for his OP? Poor bugger has probably looked at this thread a hundred times now waiting to have a wank and been disappointed every time. Cut the guy some slack FFS.
  19. The attached link is quite simply, the worst I've ever felt after a Saints game. The only game I ever took my girlfriend of the time to and what a big mistake. I was obviously in a foul mood leaving the stadium and she uttered the immortal words "AW FFS it's only a game!" to which there really is only one response. "Fukoff you stupid cow. You're dumped" (obvs I went crawling back the next day and thankfully for me she understood my pain and forgave me). Horrible night though. I might get into trouble here for even mentioning it, but here you go..... http://stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=1985&GameID=2145
  20. Remember that game so well. Was right up there in terms of being most gutted at a Saints game. I was convinced as a naïve 13 year old that we were going to win the Cup that year. Will watch these highlights tonight. Like someone else said, I never knew they existed. Re crowds, I've always been surprised at the quoted numbers for crowds back in those days. I always thought our stadium capacity was.... Pre - redevelopment of the East terracing (i.e. when it was still the old bowl) - 53,000 Post redevelopment (i.e. as per this Celtic game) - 35,000 If you take games like the 1977 DUFC Cup game, or the 3-3 game with Rangers at the start of the 77-78 season, I distinctly remember the ground being absolutely rammed. Both those games were pre-redevelopment, yet the quoted crowds were (I think) 20,000 and 27,000 respectively. How is that possible? Equally if this Celtic game was 27000 and the capacity was 35,000, there is not a chance you could have squeezed another 8000 folk in there. I was only about 10/11 for the first 2 games I mentioned and probably 13 for the Celtic game, so maybe I've just got some romantic memory of it that wasn't a reality.
