  1. PerhapsI I am missing something, but, can anyone tell me how a "tram" service would ENHNCE my commute to/ from Paisey International Airport / PGS - rather than the cujrrent setup? A rail link is one thing, but trams / glorified buses??
  2. If it was a Saturday, then it would be more appealing. The fact it is, as you described, a "floodlit" game (ie: a midweek night!) & on the telly, so, I can watch in the warmth. Not to mention the fact that Morton have no more appeal that Alloa or Livingston.
  3. Aye you are doing a grand job of a sales-pitch! As you are well aware, there have been few Saturday games I have missed over 20 years! There is little time spent "in the bookies" (particularly of a Friday evening.) Ultimately, the product on offer hasn't been sold to me. Despite me expressing an "interest!"
  4. I have been lucky to have been at most of the "famous" wins over the years! 81 Anglo cup final 87 Cup final (& all ties en-route) The Tannadice "rout" (As featured on here) The "1st one was scored by Gunni" game at Darkheid The Somerset clincher. The comeback at Fir Park. The 4-0 Mowbray game. The league cup semis & finals. Not to mention Hammerby & a multitude of other disappointments, but, the original point was "sell it to me!" - It's on telly, it freezing & it's midweek after work. (Plus £20 + addons that I can spend elsewhere!) Other than guys on here giving it "go & support your team" - No-one has made an effort to sell me the product on offer!
  5. Remember that day vividly! (were WE on the telly?) Did Brian Martin ever get a cap? Perhaps not with us, but, with Motherwell?
  6. Having been the custodian of a season ticket for several years, circumstances dictated around 3 years ago, that I had to give it up. Whilst, I have attended most home league games, particularly on a Saturday, I am now in the "privilaged" position to decide whether or not to hang on to my cash. With the team performances being particularly - Erm - "shite", the rush from work on a midweek night, the fact it's on the telly, & skimming me for a £20 note the week before payday, can anyone sell this to me? Would love to hear a sales advisor try & pitch this one! - Ultimately, why should I??
  7. Aye! But, I'm not as quick with death row as Shulll!!
  8. Corrie legend Bill Tarmey http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2230519/Bill-Tarmey-death-Coronation-Streets-Jack-Duckworth-passes-away-aged-71.html
  9. I remember I had comps' for the main stand that day & was there with LiverpoolBud! In the car on the way there Gerry Mcnee (Remember HIM?) was on Radio Clyde giving it "St Mirren are doomed" etc etc At the end of the game (he was broadcasting about 3 rows in front of us) I called to him "are we still going down Gerry?" - If looks could kill!!! That was the same day we got SPAT on by priests!!! - I kid you not!!
  10. ^^^ THIS It is like saying you got "boooted out" a pub - just because it is closing time!
  11. did we not try that a few years ago V Celtic? EVERYONE (home & away) paid £25, but EVERYONE (home & away) got a voucher for £15 / £5 off admission to the next game? (St J or similar)
  12. Anything with Suzie Mcguire would have me reaching for the knob! (No pun intended!) Your Radio is worth a listen - not too much chart shite & suited for those 30s / 40s. (Dumbarton based) http://www.yourradiofm.com/
  13. Dunno if it is the same Spit or not but... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-34174822
  14. So, St Mirren get their 1st win of the season in South-West Scotland & the RAF do a flypast??? #quality
  15. It's the bad times that make the good times all the more appreciable! (You could be a Celtic fan & win a trophy every season - after a while that has no significance!) I have had the privilage of witnessing 2 majors - & both will live forever in the memory! #SMTID (& no - one wasn't 59 before anyone quips!!!)
  16. Why don't the UKGov use the oil-fund to rebuild Westm.... - Oh wait!!
  17. Nonsense! Female company & beer! - Game on telly, £20 saved! Saddened I missed the glorious solo point win in three games, but, until clubs sort out the basics(ticketing / accommodation etc) - Ahm oot!!
  18. It has been confirmed that cash turnstiles will be in operation at tonight’s game at Cappielow. Adult - £17, Conc - £12, U16 - £3
