  1. TC is taking his levels of talking shite to new levels. Flynn was injured, and Motherwell were not "ripping us apart" at all. 0-0. Fairly uneventful, both sides knocking it about without having much end product.
  2. Agree with that, but thats not what your original post said There isn't much between Mac and Baird, Kearney has used both as you say. Possibly came down to how both trained this week.
  3. So you are arguing Kearney is using the 3rd last game of the season when we are in relegation dogfight to run trials for next seasons squad? Aye right you are.
  4. Starting McAllister is certainly a gamble. Great on the ball but weak defensively. Don't OK is thinking about anything other than winning and staying in the Premier. He must (rightly) think MacKenzie is a more reliable defender than Baird.
  5. Could be true, seems this has happened today just a few hours before kick off. Morton- the true comedy club of Scotland.
  6. Not a surprise, Johansson took a team with playoff ambitions and nearly got them relegated! Must be a shite being a Morton supporter. Get it up them.
  7. East Lothian Saint on the coffee is surely a bad omen. Someone get him a pint quickly! Edit - I see someone as. World back to normal. COYS!
  8. Wouldn't worry about it, our academy is only for producing small midfielders!
  9. It is great as a society we have made huge strides towards ending homophobia. Sadly we have gone backwards when it comes to discriminating against people due to their ethnicity or nationality. Agree with the sentiment that gay footballers shouldn't feel any pressure to come out. They don't owe anyone anything and its nobody business but their own. They certainly would get a lot of support in Scotland though, but also a lot of abuse from the likes of Rangers and Hearts fans.
  10. There might have been an incident this year which makes me think the above is at least possible. Can't quite recall what it could be though....
  11. At the wages you are offering there the three extra players will be part-timers signed up from Cowdenbeath, so not sure how much use they are going to be to us!
  12. 10% figure does seem like a very conveniently rounded up number to me. My position remains we can live without that revenue by managing the club better, and there needs to be more ambition and vision from the club to truly turn those games against the Old Firm in to home games - and not events where we let them take over our stadium and walk away with three points. After watching our reserves lose to Celtic last time, I personally won't be back. Great to see the St Mirren Women's team will be playing their first game in the stadium. Great to keep building the St Mirren community. Explanation of the Technical Director position makes perfect sense, and I really do hope it works out. Having a clear identity and purpose is vital to success in modern football. Look at Man City v Man Utd for an example of that! Closer to our level teams like St Johnstone show what a proper management structure can do for on the field results.
  13. St Mirren are 3/1 to beat Motherwell at the bookies. The chances are we will lose on Saturday, as we normally do when we play away from home. I personally think we will get a point, but there seems to be a lot of people setting themselves up for disappointment by thinking Saints are suddenly going to go on a winning streak and Dundee, after 8 consecutive defeats, will be able to beat Hamilton.
  14. We aren't going to take 5000 fans for a game in Dundee with a lunchtime kick off Would probably be slightly less than the number that went up to Brechin last season.
  15. Fair enough, individual perceptions of it will vary depending on experience. I just don't see many people in Scotland who particularly care one way or another about it, but then I thankfully manage to avoid associating with knuckledraggers and don't have them in my work environment. My perception of it might be wrong.
  16. LPM is right though, on a day to day basis it is not something you are really exposed to or aware of. Racism and Xenophobia are much bigger problems in Scotland, and you get plenty of cunts happy to mouth off with their opinions on the matter. The whole "religious" shite is just a few flag-waving clowns that don't have anything better to do with their lives. Sadly Old Firm games and marching season whip these people in to a frenzy and tun them in to quite dangerous mobs.
  17. I think St Johnstone were clever and took advantage of the fact he would have gone in to the game keen not to send anyone off. However Popescu could also have been sent off for going in studs up having completely lost control of the ball, and then himself. St Johnstone players were giving him a lot of grief as well, shouting right in his face at times. Don't know why refs are too weak to follow the rules of the game and dish out yellows and reds in that situation. Players would soon learn.
  18. Time for a new song for our goal a game striker Danny Mullen. The current effort is cringeworthy shite that is never going to catch on. Hopefully three more goals from him this season to celebrate too.
  19. I think your rush to have an argument here you have misread the post. They've offered to pay the 20 quid difference. Hotel have refused and want to keep the money for the original booking and 50 quid to book on the Monday. It has nothing to do with Ryanair, it is a hotel booking and 99% of the time hotels and even AirBnBs are happy to change dates if you have made a mistake when booking. Low prices are no excuse for pish poor service, as Ryanair themselves have found out while haemorrhaging business to Easyjet. Of course, this being IOBS he probably has the wrong end of the stick entirely and the Watermill are happy to change the booking
  20. I'm pretty sure Accies will win both those games though. We need to get something next week, and as you say we will need to show a lot more attacking intent (and ability) to do that.
  21. Great strike from Mullen. McAllister looked dangerous in patches, but then goes in with that half-hearted challenge at the St Johnstone goal. Very frustrating player, and possibly not one that can start away to Motherwell. Dreyer was good I thought, linking up play and coming deep for the ball. I just didn't think we created enough today. Too often the final ball was poor, and we were let down with that by many of our "better" players. Still all to play for but I wouldn't be putting money on us taking anything from Motherwell next week based on what we produced going forwards today.
  22. Just ignore the fanny. Anyone who has to make up multiple aliases to try and provoke fights on a St Mirren forum is probably best avoided really.
  23. Could anyone clarify how many points behind Accies we are?
