  1. Only one ? Surely a minimum of four !!!
  2. My recommendation would be to stay at home. Right now there are only 37 horses declared for the 6 races, including two with only 4 runners. With the likelihood of there being more call-offs before Monday the betting could be a bit rubbish.
  3. He opened the scoring against us in the Premiership play-off decider and ended up a loser. Same again today please.
  4. If there was ever any doubt, last year's mid-season (surprise) run of successful results proved how important it is to keep upward momentum going. Our current run of three straight wins makes Saturday's game at St Johnstone all the more important. A defeat, or even a draw, could deflate the momentum. A victory, any victory, will boost team confidence and keep us rolling on. Must win !!! 2-0 Buddies.
  5. Tragic also for his partner, Scottish cycling Olympian Katie Archibald, who was unable to revive him. Heartbreaking.
  6. Contrary to a few of the previous posts, I'll be disappointed if big Joe was to leave us in this transfer window. IMO he has been a standout player for us since he signed, with only a few shaky moments this season. He also represents a serious up-front option at dead balls or if we're chasing a game close to full-time. If true, we could live to regret letting him go.
  7. I'd expect him to be in the queue at the buroo before Tuesday.
  8. A bit peculiar that you added '3 goals in the match' to your line when you had also chosen 'either side to win by 3+ goals'. That kinda covers it already. 🙂
  9. I hope Ayunga and Strain watched his technique, simply passed the ball into the roof of the net. Composure beats trying to blooter the ball goalwards.
  10. It's an awful dilemma. I loathe Rangers. I loathe Celtic. But I usually hope they'll hump every diddy team that we need to finish above in the league. Am I a bad person for wanting this ?
  11. Just get Baccus signed up on a very, very long-term contract. He looks like an amazing prospect for us. Great skills, terrific engine, fabulous attitude and he is sure to catch the eye of a bigger club before too long. So get him tied down longer term before we lose him for a pittance or a Bosman !!!
  12. Bingeing or Crosbying, FS ? 😛
  13. Not particularly proud of this one but, hey-ho, easy money eh ?
  14. I struggle to see why Robinson is being shafted for Gallagher getting himself stupidly red carded and conceding a spot kick after only 23 minutes. Pittodrie is a hard ace to get a result at the best of times. Merlin the F**king Magician couldn't have turned the game in our favour after that happened , so why is Robinson getting such a doing on here ?
  15. Interesting to see that young Taylor has a spot on the bench. Highly unlikely to be anything other than "unused sub" today, but good to see that Robinson rates him highly enough.
  16. Regardless of your political affiliation, Liz Truss's comments about our First Minister are a slap in the face to Scotland. Whether you're a Unionist or a Nationalist, or somewhere undecided in between, you can't fail to see that our country's democratically elected government is being rubbished by a stuck-up nobody who is likely to be leading the UK government in a few weeks time. Such disdain for Scotland is unbecoming of a pending leader of the UK government who will probably be in control of our future. How can we just sit back and be complicit with our demise ? Fu*k her.
  17. 100% this. Our club has been instrumental in creating this monster. It's time for St Mirren to clamp down on this nightmare before things spiral way out of control.
  18. Our home games against the likes of Motherwell, Livingston, Ross Co, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone, etc, are all about securing 3 points rather than performance. Good performances would be a bonus for the spectators, but getting the points in the bag is key.
  19. Good luck, I hope you have a great time. Personally I think Irish horse racing is a betting minefield - those enormous fields give the bookies too many chances to beat your bets, and so many winners with (on paper at least) no previous form to speak of. But obviously some punters must win, so let's hope you're one them.
  20. Hey OP, thanks for starting this thought-provoking thread. I'm amazed no one has opened one of these before now !!! Congratulations.
  21. Wouldn't Kiltie's suspension be spent after missing the Edinburgh game yesterday ?
