Using an artist to design the strips is nothing new, we've had everything from surrealists, to impressionists to abstract cubists in the past. Mind you, the question of whether or not they'll be modelled at the Normandy by a couple of pre-raphaelite hotties remains unanswered as ever...

Yep the Nokia maps got me and some colleagues safely to a hotel in Bratislava from Vienna Airport one dark night when the in hire car sat nav would only speak German to us and nobody could afford the roaming data plan required for their Google or IOS based alternatives.

Mibbe not a Nokia 3310 but the new Nokia Lumia (now Microsoft branded) smartphones have an excellent sat nav known as Here Drive included and every country in the work is available as a free download. Therefore you can use it offline as well as online, making it as good if not better as a TomTom. I.e no data usage required other Tha the initial download which of course you'll be doing over (someone else's) WiFi... ;-)

The Cave is at the bottom of New Street, the former 'Yard' or 'La Verte' for those of a certain vintage. Now run by Jen and Fergus ex Paddies and containing much of the same St Mirren paraphernalia on the wall as Paddies did. They run some good music nights now and also have an excellent juke box !
