  1. Shut Ralston down, Astro Greenhill and run everything from Greenhill. We would save a fortune each season.
  2. They were on Twin Peaks last night. Nah forget it. Not got the same line all the way through... it was the drink! Honest Guv! Anyway, ended up booking Republic of Soul
  3. Oh! You are missing out on some great deals at some marvellous new Restaurants and some more established ones.Meals cost pennies. Shhhhh don't tell him!

Sounds like a great idea. Can't be much for say 4 stewards and electrics for 4 hrs. and it would only be for a small number of games. One £8000 spend might cover the season. Only you seem to be saying 'us and them' mate. No understanding... No it is not. Your last sentence would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. Debating with you is tedious as you are bereft of understanding. Shoots/Shuts people down. Probably what you wanted. I'm out too (debating with you). Nice looking chicks were they? Must have been where Macca got his catchphrase
  5. The Abbey Inn (formerly The Todholm Inn) is supposed to be good and fairly cheap. I can vouch for the food.
  6. Got a BBQ at a workmates on Saturday, but would like to record it for later. What channel is it on?

I do not object to funding of any staff member, only non-playing staff. indeed I voted for the emegency funding last season because we NEEDED it, Again I ask where does it stop? Do you think we should fund Ticket Sales staff - if requested? I am sure you wouldn't, but aren't they important too?

If the Club are in a good situation financially, why have/will SMiSA even been approached - like some sort of Cash Cow - to part-fund a non-playing staff member's wages? Where does it stop? Surely (as has been suggested previously), our partner, the West of Scotland University, could be approached on a mutually beneficial status for on-the-job training/Internships for 'Scientists'. We are a Community Club No? If it's experience the Club are after then another consideration is: Does the 'Scientist' have a good track record? e.g. I wouldn't want one that has been 'helping' Sevco for the past 4 years or so.
  9. And there folks, is the full Monochrome Set

I don't know about rights issues, but maybe SMiSA paying for Stadium wide WiFi, sorts the tying in with the SMFC TV coverage thingy and would please many, many fans also?? Chromecast or something like that.

I put this forward some time ago now Kenny. Surely there would be plenty of companies who would be more than happy to provide free estimates? What about putting it out to tender, or is that not suitable? BTW, I notice that the PA sound in the West Bank seems to have been fixed! SMiSA magic?

Sorry no Cockles, I don't have a clue of the costs involved, but surely it would not be more than £8000 for 5 setups? (Feck the North stand). I have officially put this forward.
  13. Not only that... apparently tables were also getting hammered.. presumably on table wine GET THEM OFF THE STREETS!! By some reports they are suspected of Terrorising Train passengers

The moeny (sic) should be spent on whatever the SMiSA membership decide. Personally, I would like it spent on live feeds of the match on a screen above each pie stall which would ease the halftime crush, thus enhance the matchday experience of hundreds of fans. I do however accept whatever the vote decides. You seem to be of the opinion that a vote for anything other than WHATEVER the Club suggest would be 'ridiculous' and 'madness'. I thought the Club request (and insistence) on Brand New HoF boards were exactly that, so voted against it. Does that make me a St.Moaner? BTW I'm an optimistic and pragmatic guy, I would just like to stop being tarred as tantamount to a traitor by someone who doesn't understand the concept of a democracy

... but where does it stop Billy? Are the Club that skint that it wouldn't have employed him/her? BTW, The Rangers employ a Sports Scientist... that helped!

Depends how it's worded. IMO we should not be using our money to employ "staff".
  17. ‘With regard to EBTs, I was on the board so I have to take some responsibility. ‘And I follow the logic of the argument that if we lose the tax case then we probably gained some competitive advantage. ‘I believe that, on behalf of myself and most of the board members who were with me and probably agree with me, that we should apologise for that. ‘I know that the Murray Group might not say that, because it might be tantamount to admitting it.
  18. I bought and drank Irn Bru, got my car serviced, had a wee flutter and even voted SNP.

Hi Bud Can all suggestions for the £2 spend that didn't win, be included in all following spend votes please? I am sure there were good suggestions that should not now be ignored cos it didn't win. Can I also suggest that the survey results be published by SMISA in full i.e Percentages AND numbers who voted for each option, "This won" is IMO, not really open and inclusive. OK You don't care, sorry, you trust those in charge. You say negative, I say positive criticism mate. If we all followed you're example then SMiSA and the Club can do as they like. That's OK up to a point, but valid points raised should always be looked on in a positive light and be debated thoroughly and openly. As an example of you're attitude, I give you Sevco
  20. Juventus have had some horrendous kits too!! This is what I call a proper St.Mirren Kit. Use it for EVERY year, long sleeves n all. Just change the sponsor's logo.
  21. That is exactly the home strip we should play in ALL the time, including long sleeves.

The money SMiSA members gave last year to fund a player to help in our hour of need was fine. However, the Club is now in a better situation and I am not at all sure we should be funding non-playing staff of SMFC. Where will it end? We (SMiSA) do not own the Club yet. I would prefer the quarterly spend is used (or kept) to enhance the matchday experience for Fans e.g. live match feeds above the Pie Stalls
  23. Was it not P C W S ro P C M S ?
