  1. Lost the midfield the moment McGowan came off. Absolutely comfortable and on course for a point against the 2nd best team in Scotland til then. Well done Danny, well done.
  2. I pity those curious enough to tune in to see what the hype around Aberdeen is about - can't imagine they lasted long. We've easily matched them but we have the effect of Lennon 's half time team talk to come....
  3. So Lennon's answer to our lack if defenders is to bench 2 we have and play an out of form midfielder at right back. Hmmmmm, wonder how that will go?
  4. It's not about team performance any more. It's not about Danny's personality in or out of the dugout. It's not about having money to spend. It's not about the cup game. It's about basic forward planning. If Danny's not bring given a contract, there's a third of a league season to let a new man assess the squad and, for once, get a headstart before a new season. I genuinely can't understand the desperation to keep a manager who's not going to be here in 4 months time?
  5. A lot of people missing the point here. If Lennon is going in the summer, why wait til then to get rid? A parting of the ways now allows the new man to get his feet under the table ahead of pre-season and may give us the short term boost needed to escape the play off. If, as is suggested by some, the board aren't sacking him to ease the sale of the club, what happens if that doesn't get wrapped up in the next 3 months? Does he go on month to month contracts until the sale is complete? It's a ludicrous suggestion. I don't hate Lennon and if we'd won today he would have earned the right to take the quarter final in my eyes. But why waste the next 3 months, and risk relegation, if he's not staying past May?
  6. Board check list for Monday: - Identify the manager needed for next season and ask him to come in now to assess the squad, decide who to keep and identify signings; - Inform Danny Lennon we appreciate his efforts but he will be leaving as soon as the new man can start. There is NO reason to keep him in place anymore.
  7. If that's true it's scandalous and both ref and supervisor should be reported.
  8. Should've rested Thommo - need him next 2 games as we won't have Magennis and the only hope we have in this one is trying to turn their defence with pace- ideal for Magennis and Campbell. I'll settle for keeping it below 5-0.
  9. See the lad Nicolson's at it again in the League Cup semi, diving at the edge of the box to get someone sent off. Who said there's no coaching at Hearts?
  10. We've no chance of avoiding the play offs - this team is knackered and has no heart. Even 3-0 up against Hibs we nearly bottled it. And the answer is Novo?
  11. How f**king stupid is this decision looking at the moment?
  12. This team is knackered. Every player looks shot and there are no replacements - Lennon is to blame for that. I know he has his supporters on here - could one of them, seriously, explain his plan either game by game or long term because I can't see it. It used to be a possession- based high intensity pressing game - that's a distant memory so what are we doing now? These players can't pass, can't keep possession and don't press. If Lennon's salvation is signing a 35(?) year old striker who bombed at his last 3 clubs, he deserves the sack. Individually we have talent but that's not a team. On another note, there is clearly an anti-Goodwin agenda among Scottish refs. And could someone with the technological know-how send video of the penalty dive and Nicolson's dive at around the 25min mark to Mr Lunny. May as well play up to his clipe's charter....
  13. 'Kin hell Sportscene - up til now to see our highlights and I've had longer pishes. Thommo's header, his miskick when clean through, Newton's shot near the end, numerous Thistle chances all missed out so they could show one of our players getting a booking. f**k yer fancy new studio and give us some highlights. It's the unique way it's funded by you, the taxpayer.... ETA just timed it - 85 seconds they gave us - 13 of which was to highlight Naismith's tackle. They spent longer speaking about their new studio.
  14. Wonder if this rumour had anything to do with our skipper's vastly improved performance yesterday? A wake up call that he's out of contract at the end of the season and increasingly being seen as damaged goods?
  15. See Chris Iwelomu is on the look out for a club. Decent back up for Thompson?
  16. Brilliant defender who was a stand out a couple of seasons ago. The opposite of the modern day trend for full backs in that he was a defender first and not great at going forward. Always hoped he would come back strong but didn't expect him to. Another who goes with my best wishes for the future.
  17. Definitely one of the best 3 senior centre halves we had at the club. Will remember him best for running onto the pitch from behind the goal after Newton's goal in the final. Seemed like a top lad going by his Twitter. Sincerely wish him the best for the future.
  18. Just watched the highlights. While they were a fair reflection and we were soundly humped, I'm curious why they chose to ignore McGowan's chance at the end of the first half when it was still 0-0? Most Buds there wouldn't have seen it properly as it was the opposite end of the pitch but I wad behind the goal and it can't have been more than a foot past. That said, we were shite and Goodwin is a liability - not because he did anything particularly wrong but because the Fakes knew if they threw themselves down every time he was near, he'd eventually be booked and - they hoped - sent off. For example, the 2 'fouls' shortly after his booking were clear over-reactions. I'm afraid the actions of certain managers, teams and pundits could hound our skipper out the game.
  19. Ha ha. Not you Drew. Sure he'll be along soon tho - he's polluted every other topic.
  20. Seems I already had the person on Ignore while accessing online but it doesn't save across to mobile devices?
  21. Can't work out how to do it and the alternative is stopping using the forum altogether. Please help.
  22. A lot of harsh comments on here. The way we set up meant the team had to work their arses off just to contain Celtic first half - they did so but we were lucky to get away with it. They then bowed to the inevitable after the first goal. To try and play that open in midfield against Celtic was just stupid. We were clear of the bottom and looking upwards before Xmas and now we're right back in the middle of a scrap. Disastrous couple of weeks and I don't particularly trust the management any more to bring in any decent players this month.
