  1. We horsed the might of Bishopton Amateurs 6-0 in the semi-final of the Renfrewshire Cup on my birthday, going on to beat Morton 3-2 in the final 2 days later. My first "full" match would have been the 5-2 humbling of Hearts the following Saturday! How could I not be a St. Mirren fan?!?!
  2. James McPake has been out most of the season due to a back injury and will not be getting a new deal at Hibs. Too big a risk or the "Heid the Baw" centre half we have been crying out for since the departure of Cuthbert?!?!
  3. I dont think this will happen but having Carey and Wylde would keep each other honest. Good squad competition which I think that type of player needs
  4. Sheffield United for the following reasons: 1. I live here! 2. Re-united the McGinn brothers 3. Excellent beering options
  5. Fantastic servant to the club and one of the most (perhaps the most?) decorated players in St Mirren history! Cheers Vanzy, Forever a Buddy!
  6. I think anyone who was there on Saturday would agree that we were completely blitzed in midfield, asking Gowser and to a lesser extent McGinn to do a job that isn't in their nature. If he picks up where he left off, Conor will will bring much needed dig and energy in there and we will see others benefit. Now, lets sort that second strikers slot please.
  7. Gary, called the bull tonight for a ticket as I hadnt seen this thread. They told me there are "quite afew" left. Crossed wires or 2nd bus? Sent from my GT-P5110 using Black & White Army mobile app
  8. Richard was last seen being very well looked after by a young blond lady in the A&E at the RAH. I'm sure he's in good hands, even if his hand, looks a bit ropey. Incidentally, never quite realised how busy it gets there, even late-ish at night. Hoping he gets away soon. Not one of Bayern Bib-less' better performances tonight, collective responsibility though I though Chris was very solid through-out. We definitely went down hill when the injuries started to kick in. I'm out for next week too and much to the delight of my team, I'm heading on to pastures new come the 1st of September, doing my saints supporting for deepest darkest Sheffield, so I think it unlikely I'll be back at the Dome for the foreseeable future. It's been a very welcome addition to my Wednesday night. Credit to Div for organising (Teamer) and to the club for the facility. Hope it continues to run successfully!
  9. When you concede headers against me, you are going to struggle. Exceptional effort by the boys to get us back into it after being 3-0 down. If we were judging it on shots alone it would have been stopped at half time. Need to convert more of our chances (guilty as charged!)
  10. I was absolutely gubbed tonight, disappeared after about 30 mins. Can't argue with the score though, deserved win for the terrors as our finishing was poor. Back to the training ground for us. Some very good performances in the terrors side.
  11. Thought we might have struggled tonight but put in a very professional performance. Well done the Bayern Bibless!! Ewen is a goal machine. Get him along side Thommo for next season!!
  12. We will get punished if we don't get more ruthless in front of goal. (sound familiar?!?!) Good game though. Brilliant hit from Nicky, Owen was excellent. Superb collective goalkeeping effort from the bibs (Div had his moments too) Delighted to be on the winning side again with another Dow-esque performance!! I aim to up this to a Crilly-esque performance next week.
  13. Curses to my injury and holiday. Back, fit and ready to don the famous bib as required!! Sent from my LT18i using Black & White Army mobile app
  14. Is it being too radical to suggest that there might be a plan in place behind the scenes and the replacements had been identified?? Or does this not happen any more in the days of agents, twitter etc?!?!
  15. I've had to pull out this week due to injury. I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon in 2 weeks (clang!) and can't really afford to risk anything (legs were shot after last Wednesday). Next game I'll hopefully be involved in will be the May 29th. I've updated the site.
  16. Really enjoyed that, just what I needed gents. I think if we take a couple of minutes just to tidy the edges up before the game that will do us. Put any boxes and smaller goals behind the main goals as much as we can. Legs will be feeling it tomorrow!!
  17. Perth has a very nice pedestrian area in the town centre and the high street shops are largely filled with independent traders. Paisley could learn a lot although admittedly, Perth does not have to compete with Braehead and the likes!
