Hopefully true. Would be a great bit of business, especially if it's 2 years. Would still be likely to go next summer in my opinion, but having a year left would increase any fee we would receive.

I only replied earlier tonight. I'd like to reply on a Thursday but I never know my availability until the weekend. Was a bit delayed this week, but it sounds like there's plenty of people choking for a game. Hopefully won't be out too long. Usually ticks over pretty quickly this time of year with people going on holiday.

I'd take wee Nigel back in a heart beat. Wildly inconsistent I admit, but he's exciting, as soon as he's on the ball, anything (or nothing) could happen. Having a player like him makes paying £20 a week just a little bit more acceptable...

I'd take Vernon, good player. He's a decent finisher and probably a lot more mobile than he should be for his size and build. If Magennis was willing to take a huge, and I mean huge wage cut, I'd be willing to think about it. He'd be back up at best

I'd take McGowan certainly. I'd have McDonald, but only if Dilo leaves

Be very disappointed to see him go. Excellent young keeper. If he stayed it wouldn't be for too long, because he's certainly destined for bigger and better things than us, but it would be nice if he stuck about for a season or 2.

My team would be -----------------Kello------------------ ------McGregor-----McAusland------ Naismith------------------------- Kelly ---------McGinn----Goodwin---------- Teale-----------------------------Wylde ---------------McGowan---------------- ---------------Thompson--------------- I almost went with McGinn left instead of Wylde, with Djemba-Djemba starting, but I'd have things this way in an attempt to have as many players playing in their natural positions as possible. I'm glad I did this, running through the squad confirmed for me, once and for all, that it's not the pool of players that's the problem. I was going through each position, with the exception of centre half and centre forward, and rather than struggling to find a body to fill the jersey, like I thought I would be, I was leaving out good player after good player. Guys like Van Zanten, McLean, Djemba-Djemba, Magennis, Campbell, Newton aren't in there, and these are players who would play regularly for almost any team in the SPL. We have a very good group of players, it's making me wonder more and more why Danny Lennon and Tommy Craig (who I like by the way, before anyone jumps down my throat) can't make it click. It's very frustrating. Also, just to say, I know the team I've picked can't and won't happen, due to the terms of Newton's loan deal, but going just by who is out best XI, that would be my pick.

Mair to Partick is a great bit of business for Lee and his new club, not so great for us to be honest. Still had plenty to offer the club in my opinion. Sad to see him leave...

Has there been any movement on this, naturally there's a lot of discussion about the player, but are we any closer to knowing if there's any substance to the rumour? Anyone heard anything?

Have to say I think he's ok, versatile and athletic. Maybe not the most skilful player in the world but, unfortunately, we play in a league where being big and quick goes a long way. I'd take him if he was going cheap.

Got an invite bit it's too short notice, 2nd time an a row my invites come on the day of the game, just bad timing I suppose, but it means I'll need to wait until the whole squad rotates again. Quite frustrating.

I don't think Rory Fallon would be a terrible signing, decent cover for Thompson. Rooney's a good player, but I can't see him wanting to sit on the bench for us and I can't see him pushing Thomo out of the team.
