  1. From the start it's looked like Murrayfield was just a tool to make sure the SFA got the best possible deal when going back to Hampden.
  2. I'm hoping Stubbs' squad is like one of those Rolf Harris paintings that used to look shite right up until the last few brush strokes, then ended up being pretty good. Can you tell what it is yet?
  3. I'm assuming the right back took up football because he was too small to be a jockey.
  4. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
  5. There were umpteen pay at the gate games at Love Street in the '80s where they weren't actually allocated any of the home end, but there was no attempt whatsoever to stop them coming in. It was routine for them to be all over the home end without segregation, especially behind the goal,
  6. Fair shut the Ross County fans up as well. They were singing 'St Mirren's going out...' to the tune of Three Lions at the time, as they celebrated their late 'winner'. Lots of hands being cupped against ears after that goal.
  7. See above response. Didn't think you'd need it spelled out, to be fair.
  8. If you're wheeling out the pedantry, I'll indicate to you that he's on the books whether he's fit or not. It's whether he's in favour or not that's the question.
  9. Pity we haven't got an experienced 6'4" centre half on the books who wins everything in the air.
  10. Josh McGinn has been excellent today according to the reporter on Jeff Stelling's show. No word on how John's playing.
  11. The guy who plays Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones is a Danish and called Nicolaj ,with a hyphenated surname. Here pictured in front of the Northbank at Love Street.
  12. I was just reading that every ticket sold for baseball games since 1913 have had a disclaimer on them for these cases. An easy arse cover. There's been some serious injuries over the years too, although I don't know if anyone's specs have ever been damaged. “The holder assumes all risk and danger inherent to the game of Baseball, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the actual playing of the game, including specifically (but not exclusively) the danger of being injured by thrown bats, fragments thereof, and thrown or batted balls, and agrees that the (name of club) are not liable for injuries resulting from such injuries.”
  13. I once stood on a shite down that inadequately lit lane outside Alloa's ground. Never noticed until the stench kicked in while I was sitting in the queue in the car park. Where's my new shoes and car mats Goodwin, ya c**t?
  14. You've got to dance around it for fear of being accused of being on a witchunt or some other such pish. You need to point out that he's been a great servant to the club, makes great saves, including penalties and is actually a very genuinely nice guy to boot. That's all well known, and I'm sure he'll continue to be all of that. However, from my location in M1 seat 1, right in line with goal line, it was clear as day that Samson coming out in installments was a huge factor in him having to concede the penalty. His centre half put him in the shit, but his own reaction sealed the deal. The TV footage actually flatters him because he is initially off screen and you don't get to see the stutter step. He actually did a very similar thing later in the game. It's kind of the opposite of when Stelios would make a mistake, then have three good games, but people would still be droning on about the mistake he made four games ago.
  15. He ran out, stopped, then ran out again, having given up precious yards. If he hadn't stopped, the striker would have had a harder job. I don't think anyone has suggested any more than that. He would also have been helped had his centre half not been posted missing.
  16. In addition to this, the conspiracy theorists overlook the 150 seats that got taken out of the Main Stand to accommodate the disabled platform, so it barely holds 2000 these days.
  17. We've already gone out when having won 3 out of 4, in 2016.
  18. There was 6-0 v QoS, when the ties were over two legs, during the Rikki McFarlane era. My only memory of the game is Billy Thompson making a stunning point blank save near the end.
  19. I remember that one well because I was thinking of putting money on 6-0 before the game, but didn't bother due to it being a preposterous idea. Was out of my seat like a jack-in-box when the 7th went in.
