I am all for a player liking a manager but it’s not him that pays the wages. If Jack leaves and Reilly doesn’t sign will he get a better deal elsewhere? Remember, he wasn’t a success last time in the top league, so unless he has been approach by a ‘bigger’ club interested in him any delay is a gamble.

I may be wrong but is it not the club that pays the wages and who the players play for (and fans)? Yes, a manager can entice certain players but in the end all managers can leave before or during a season. Does that mean every player he signed would want to leave too if he moved or was sacked? I want Jack to stay but he will likely leave sooner than later and we need to bring players in who want to play for the club regardless of who our manager is.

Ian, if we believe what the club have announced, Harry has left to go back down South. We have no idea what his contract would be worth or if another suitor has approached him. Clearly wages will be higher in England but it might be he just wants another crack at football down south?

JF doesn't want to be a manager and is likely to follow Jack down south if that is where he is heading. We need to appoint the right person to replace him if he goes and that takes time unless the Board have someone in mind.

Agree, I also wonder just why our Board do not take a stance of 'hands off' if they genuinely think JR is the right man to take the club forward. Unless there is something written into Jack's contract that he can talk to other clubs then we should maybe stand our ground and refuse to let him speak to other clubs. This is the third case now and must cause some uncertainty in current and possible incoming players? The key message here is that if we get any manager who produces a degree of success then he will be off. Money talks I guess.

Hibs will not allow him to run his contract down and he leaves for nothing. If a suitable offer comes in they will accept it as this will be his final year. I know John has indicated he would like to stay but money talks and I suspect he will be sold this summer so they can buy Scott Allan and maybe retain their other good players by offering them a better deal.

No mention of Jack on Teuchter BBC aka BBC Scotland, would wager Lennon would have got a mention. Like Sportscene which totally concentrates on the top league only (amateurish too), noone else gets a mention.

If you are implying that our Jack is perhaps moving to Sunderland then I am sure a word with Chris Coleman about an absolute car crash of a club almost £200m in debt will help him decide.

Nice to see the arseholes at BBC Sportscene ignoring the trophy presentation but now talking about women's football. Similar that on their Sunday show they do not mention anything outside the top league. Even STV2 showed our presentation.
