  1. Scarily similar to Butcher when he took over at ICT. Got them safe... then imploded. Scarily similar. ICT kept faith... the rest is top division history. I have been really astounded at some of his recent subs... but when was the last manager that didn't regularly make crazy substitutions?
  2. The tights were airy!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Sadly I missed that. Last thing I saw Gerard Kelly in was The Odd Couple with Andy Gray... it was an absolute scream. Another genuine talent gone far far too early.
  4. My comedy heroes bar none. Their timing and interaction was truly magical. They are the most loved comedians in our daycare centre and reach people with advanced dementia to make them laugh. Ironic given Ricky Fultons own struggle. A number of years ago my friend and I performed She's At Arbroath for a St Andrews party night!!! I was the big glaikit one... but at least I was in male clothing that time!
  5. Black balled??? Oohhh errr Missus.
  6. Mrs Broony? I have a rival??? ;-)
  7. In the dark... Or In the dark days? I've moved on!!!!! :-P
  8. Want yer bottle back too Ness? I feel violated!
  9. It's not the "would you" thread!!! I need another drink. Woke up with this by my bedside... no idea what happened but it must have been one helluva party!!!
  10. Having spent the day dressed as Mrs Bown in public at the Hydro to make a friend's birthday memorable, I have earned this feckin drink!!!!
  11. Some of the link up play between Arquin and Sadlier was really good and shows promise. Problem is, by now we should be accepting delivery rather than relying on a promise.
  12. So having graciously turned down the chance to illegally defraud our club on three occasions, and having decided not to invest money in support of our team, you will verbally support a team that is financially poorer as a direct result of your decision... whilst willingly investing in the opposition, giving them cash to pay Scott MacDonalds wages! Correct? I'm going tomorrow much as I am not looking forward to it. The money I save by not going to Motherwell is being spent on hospitality at the Ross County game. Each to their own. :-P
  13. Fair do's... I have misinterpreted your definition of experienced. I myself touted Murray in the past... but most felt he wasn't experienced enough! I can see a lot of potential there. Even now, if we appointed him, the majority would complain that he has no experience at this level... or if we are at that level by then, that he has never managed at a higher lever. Most folks on here talking about experienced managers are generally referring to Butcher, Calderwood or someone of that decreptitude! However... I like your thinking and apologies for taking you the wrong way.
  14. Alex Smith... aye... the man's "experience" pushed me as close as I have ever come to giving up Saints... had he not gone when he did I would be an Arthurlie fan by now! Just couldn't stomach any more football that made Gus's Saints look like 1970's Brazil!!!! Experience? Why the fascination? It guarantees NOTHING. I would go as far as to say that if an experienced manager is available then he won't get any better... we certainly won't be getting the best available. Would I have traded the Fergie years for the "safety" of an experienced manager? Rikki McFarlane was inexperienced and did well too. Fans turned against Miller... one of the most experienced coaches out there.
  15. The whole article is well measured and spot on. 3 main mistakes that led to current predicament... 1...Not renewing Lennons contract. 2... appointing Craig. 3... Selling McLean.
  16. Love this acoustic cover of the old Beatles song. Sung slowly and from a female perspective, the song takes on a whole new level of meaning and vulnerability. Still got tickets available... only £6 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSvF52SQhOE
  17. Who'd of thunk it... Whilst I was close to Cheesy at Burnistoun in the Kings.. it turns out that Biscuity Boyle is actually Poz!!!!
  18. Genius idea... Concentrate on the posters to avoid thinking about the actual football. A kind of online opium! Genius!!! Pass the pipe... ...
  19. Agreed. Sonupe has shown and created more in his brief introductions than either Reilly or Wylde have done period!
  20. Tom Morton on Radio Scotland. He will be interviewing Dean Owens just after 11pm and Dean will be playing tracks from his brilliant new album. Recommended listening.
  21. NOOOOOOOOOO! Learn from my mistakes... I once thought the very same way. No bigger beneficiary than the young Paul Lambert, thought I. He will be a standout in the lower league, was my cry. He was anonymous. Thr Championship is no place for talented youngsters.
