  1. Same starting 11 as v Accies. Sonupe not on the bench?
  2. The sheer love for the man and his own selfless love for others convinced me to share something that I had, perhaps selfishly, been keeping to myself. I interviewed Tony in 2008 for Love Street, The Final Chapter. The published interview was but a smidgeon of the full hour long interview... which I have finally shared in another thread. It deserves to be heard... him... not me...!!!! The word legend is far too easily banded about these days... but for Mr St Mirren... LEGEND doesn't even start to tell the tale!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgobCtlea7o
  3. This is being shared in it's entirety for the first time! Recorded in 2008, it is a full hour long interview with club legend Tony Fitzpatrick, which was eventually edited into a contribution for LOVE STREET - THE FINAL CHAPTER, the rather splendid publication that was the brainchild of the geniuis that is POZBAIRD! This one hour was quite simply one of the most memorable ones of my entire life... one that I will truly cherish until my dying day. Tony Fitzpatrick was my Roy of the Rovers. My hero. My Dad introduced me to him in the main stand when I was just 12... I was dumbstruck and in awe.... couldn't even utter a single word. 31 years later, I didn't want to speak... I just wanted to listen! Hopefully you will too. I am no Russell Harty or Jeremy Paxman... but hopefully I made the great man at ease enough that you too will hang on his every word as I did!!! Ladies and Gentlemen... a world exclusive... the legend that is Tony Fitzpatrick... (the first 10 seconds or so are corrupted, but after that the sound is fine... hang on in there!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgobCtlea7o#t=46
  4. How very dare you Sir. Pistols at dawn. Roy Race is the man.
  5. Might knock the lads confidence a bit .. just as he was starting to show some!!!
  6. And since you asked so nicely, I'll take the time to explain... Before voting, i like to explore options and do my homework. I have no party loyalties whatsoever and will vote for the person or party I see best placed to do the job at that time. I wrote to Ms Sturgeon and asked her why I should vote for SNP at the general election when I was concerned that an increase in votes for them may be mistakenly taken as a mandate to push for another independence referendum. Credit where it is due, she took the time to respond and said the right things... even if I'm not fully convinced! Now Oaksoft, having established the facts, which one of us was talking like a prick?
  7. If you would rather not answer a sincere question feel free to say so!
  8. Had they acted earlier, who knows what would have happened. I don't think Teale would have got the gig for one. We may well be stuck with some of Craigs signings that Teale msnaged to ditch. We probably wouldn't have Dayton, Genev, Sadlier, Sonupe and Arquin. Would a different managers signings have been as good? Better? So many unknowns.
  9. The leader of SNP herself personally assured me that this general election was absolutely nothing to do with a vote for independence. Was she lying to me then? You seem to know best.
  10. Skipped the queue then?
  11. So Ed says "it's me or him"! Thanks Ed. That makes it simple. At a local level my SNP politicians are the best by a country mile. However, a vote for thrm WILL be manipulated into a further campaign for independence and either another waste of millions or worse still, a step towards separation. I cannnot risk my vote for a politician being abused and misused in such a manner.

  15. the lumpy bumpy cake is exceptionally good and highly recommended... although if you have it with a "special" hot chocolate expect a heart attack!!!
  16. Nashville based Folk-crooner Melissa Greener is about to embark on a European tour... with her only confirmed Scottish date being in East Kilbride on Friday April 17th. The venue is a small intimate Café and only 70 tickets are available. Half are gone already. If you are into acoustic gigs and are a fan of music, I can recommend this... only £6... a bargain. Tickets are available from... errrrr.... ME! Message me if you are interested. http://www.melissagreener.com
