  1. and what about the Moss? It is a valuable commodity for sure... who hasn't heard of Stirling Moss?
  2. I actually like Johann Lamont as much as I dislike Herr Salmond... but my problem is that there is not one other Labour politician... local or national... that I would allow to sniff my fart far less trust! Corruption is a word created to describe labour politicians IMO. At a local level, SNP have incredibly hard working councillors and MSP's... so much so that I genuinely admire the work they do... ... Salmond has surrounded himself with able politicians and has committed workers at the grass roots level... I am increasingly finding it harder to remain opposed to their petty separatist agenda!!!

Thurs as in THURSDAY... ... as in the day that EVERY SINGLE Q&A has been on despite repeated pleas to vary the night even once in a blue moon so that folks with a regular commitment on a THURSDAY can attend... ... but no... THURSDAY it is and apparently THURSDAY it shall remain!!!
  4. yep... he's def a keeper!!!!! As other fellow auld farts have said... the best Goalie since Dibble Money. Every time he came for a ball I wasn't dreading the outcome; hoping he might get it; or fearing the worst... I was confident to let him do his job. If fans are like that... it must be great for a defence to have increased confidence too. That said... young Dilo looks an exceptional keeper too... mature beyond his years. I hope we can get them BOTH tied up on longer deals.
  5. Caprice for Vanzy probably saved us a point. Vanzy had done well... esp first half... but he was getting deeper and deeper in the second half. Newton slotting in there but a bit further forward made total sense.
  6. Surely the correct response should have been NO... ... he's not not suspended... as he actually IS suspended!
  7. I can cope with that... straight talking is fine by me... ya big erse!!!
  8. How do you know it was a "suggestion" and not a "command"? Nothing in the punctuation, sentence structure, or use of "smilies" pointed towards anything other than it being an instruction!!!
  9. An amazing young player and a future Scotland mainstay if he keeps developing and working hard... if he re-signs I'll be more than delighted!!!
  10. so discussions on a discussion forum are a no-no now are they?
  11. DVZ or Caprice. Mair slotting in for McGregor may well be a straight cb for cb switch... but I am convinced that the two main factors in our turn of form and fortune were the return of McGregor to defence and the move of Goodwin to midfield to protect the defence and youngsters in the midfield. I actually wouldn't mind trying McGregor in that role and am convinced he is more than capable of doing it well... ... I fully understand why you suggest it... but I worry about a Mair and McAusland combo at the back without Goodwin in front... I just see that as a massive risk... moreso than a change to the right mid.
  12. That's exactly the same amount of disruption but on defence rather than midfield. It also returns is to a McAusland and Mair defence without Goodwin in front. (Shudders)
  13. Shame... I always sit in when I go there.
  14. That implies that Goodwins role is easy to replace and anyone can slot in. I don't think that's the case. I also think Newyon would relish the challenge of playing in that role. It suits his energy.
  15. The best replacement IMO is Newton, who has the drive, energy and commitment required to slip into that role... he's doing a similar one wider on the park when not ghosting into the box to score... see... uncanny. Caprice or DVZ can slot into the right mid position.
  16. Not really. We won the cup with him in defence. The rest of that season was a write off due to the cup win and a price worth paying. Pre and early season were extremely worrying and I think a lot of stuff was happening behind the scenes that we as supporters won't ever hear about. The move of Goodwin to midfield co-incided with McGregors return to fitness.
  17. The ghost is gonnae get ye... The ghost is gonnae get ye... (A wee nod to Aber there too)
  18. If there's someone strayed In the St Mirren half who ya gonna call? Jim Goodwin And if someone dares Try to kick McLean Who ya gonna call? Jim Goodwin.
  19. Combine them... ... If there's someone strayed In the St Mirren half who ya gonna call? Jim Goodwin
  20. Selective is ignoring the fact that with McGregor out, Mair (who should have been our stalwart and main defender) proved time and time again to be a lightweight liability that the fans wanted dropped! I find it incredible that has been selectively forgotten as part of the anti-manager agenda!!! Some blamed Cheesy... some blamed Mair... some blamed both. Whatever, moving Goodwin back for a period did indeed bolster the defence whilst McGregor was out... and with Darren back, our midfield is all the better for it.
