  1. https://www.historyscotland.com/scottish-nostalgia/a-wartime-christmas-in-scotland/ Doesn't sound too much different to me and this is well before 1960
  2. What if they took the knee on the back seat whilst giving the clenched fist salute as he drove off [emoji2]
  3. Don't know if you have followed this case since it hit the headlines in the summer via a Panorama documentary. The NHS boards stance is incredible. Throughout and still they claim they followed NICE guidelines and he was treated within normal pre pandemic timescales. They also allege that the spread was so rapid that any delay made no difference to the terminal diagnosis. That, if true surely leaves them wide open to a misdiagnosis accusation as it's the original misdiagnosis that is most likely to have lead to the metastatic tumours as opposed to any delay in instigating treatment. Truly tragic case.
  4. Incidentally I think today saw our first back to back top league away wins (outside of the split at least) since early 2015 (RC and Thistle).
  5. Why oh why is anyone actually rising to that pricks nonsense. Get GOW and all the other extremists aliases on ignore. Starve the prick(s) of oxygen and he will soon disappear.
  6. Another excellent result despite again only converting 1 chance. That said it's a team game and overall it's been an excellent few weeks. I really think in spite of all the adversity this squad are doing us proud. If by some miracle we can find a more ruthless streak be that from within or a new face or two we should be surviving comfortably. Free go midweek before another good opportunity for points next Saturday. All in a very good weekend after a shitey week that the whole squad deserve tremendous credit for. 7. Speaking personally as a household with 2 STs we have absolutely no interest in travelling to attend games where spectating is limited and with restrictions. Happy now to wait for normality which should be next season. I appreciate that's probably a minority view but it really makes very little appeal as a match day experience with no opportunity to meet up pre or post match for a pint and sitting in a sparsely populated stadium in masks with set arrival and departure times etc. Not for us so happy to let whoever most benefits the club go if it comes to that this season (personally I'm doubtful pre split at least)
  8. Canaries back on the quarantine list from Saturday. Jet2 and Tui expected to cancel Christmas and New Year holidays imminently.
  9. That looks like a reminder of your appointment dates, nothing more or less and certainly nothing that could be construed as a national identity card but it is the Daily Heil !
  10. You just know this will be rescheduled to coincide with the appointment of a new Septic manager following the inevitable sacking of Lennon.
  11. BBC News - Covid in Scotland: Level 4 restrictions 'could remain after 11 December' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-55206120
  12. Stopping a shot on target with your hand is a stonewall penalty. A rugby tackle is a stonewall booking. No idea why you think either were wrong. Not even seen that opinion from any Aberdeen fans. Odd !
  13. We are creating more than enough chances for a semi competent striker to live off.
  14. Frustrating as hell. Strikers (or dearth of) are undoing the good work of everyone else. That Erwin miss is criminal at this level. Simply go to somehow find more composure in front of goal. Elsewhere bar the marking for their goal we are absolutely fine but the lack of finishing is crippling.
  15. Saying live audio in UK only as if it was an away game. Get it sorted
  16. We forget with all the off field shenanigans that we are on a very decent run of form, just hope the players are not affected like most fans seem to have been. Aberdeen will be stronger today but we need the same approach as last week, make them as uncomfortable as possible from the start. A positive result would help the mood but we really shouldn't be feeling that way as on the park things have been looking up.
  17. The cause of the outbreak is totally irrelevant. We were not punished for having cases of C19 that's almost a given. We didn't follow the protocol designed to prevent the spread once a positive case was identified. Whether the spread was directly attributed to the breach is again irrelevant. Not really sure what people can't grasp here. All member clubs signed up to follow defined protocols. Saints for reasons so far not explained decided not to and a consequence of that was we were unable to fulfill 2 fixtures. People unwilling to accept we did wrong even after the club plead guilty is just bizarre. No matter how stupid anyone thinks the rules are, we as a club agreed to abide by those rules. We didn't, the club got caught, we then admitted that at an enquiry and have been punished.
  18. What a steaming pile of utter shite and it's written in the style of a 1st year school kid. Masturgates ffs grow up that's pathetic stuff.
  19. I trust banks 100% more than I would put my trust is some lowlife scum NOT breaking in and nicking cash stashed "under the bed" metaphorically speaking !
  20. I had propaganda leaflets from both the SNP and Scottish Tories in the last few weeks. The SNP one contained the word "independence" 5 times, the Tory one no fewer than 11. It's fairly obvious where the obsession and panic currently sits.
  21. Explain to us the option to "willingly giving up" was. What did you do ? break in to the park every 2nd Saturday and provide the crowd noise for the stream or batter down a closed pub or restaurant door and have your own meal or session ???
