Well played Stewart Gilmour not in rejecting the bid but in outing a possible conflict. I reckon this was a calculated move. As far as I'm concerned Ken is out of the running.
Hopefully REA (a good guy) can do the deed.

Yes......Ken McGeogh it was. He had a choice of hundreds of "reputable" lawyers to appoint and chose Collier Bristow . He had a choice of partners and selected Gary Withey . Remember this story is BEFORE Craig Whyte was outed!. Mr McGeogh has now parted company with this law firm and has appointed a new London firm to carry on with his bid .....Don't darken our door again Ken ..you have been rumbled big time by a bit of due dillegence and by a Chairman who is not WILLING to be duped!...And for the record Collier Bristow have been involved for a long time in a legal battle for using clients money and are facing a £50 million bankrupcy. ...BEFORE either Mr Whyte or Mr McGeoch employed them. ...Craig Whyte= Ken McGeoch..

The political interference by both SNP and Labour today is rediculous. Listening to Salmond slevering on about HMRC making a special case for r*ngers is outrageous. He may as well just say that he condones tax evasion.

Tracey, I was half-answering you. Always happy to spread your word by way of quoting!
Anyway, just happened to notice something on RA's twitter feed, a retweet from RTC

Lots of talk about what Scottish football "needs". We don't need cheats to escape punishment. We need sport not a rigged game.

Looks like at least one of our directors agrees with me. That is good to see.

I also wouldn't be surprised if one or two high level Goernment agencies (in addition to HMRC) want to look at the transactions of r*ngers over the last 9 months.
Not only is it not over, but I don't think it's really started yet.......

The r*ngers situation is going to shape Scottish football for decades to come and those involved at r*ngers can now do very little to influence the outcome. However, OUR club is VERY likely to play a significant part in how things turn out (along with the other 10 SPL members). For that reason it is good to know the facts in order to come to an educated conclusion. I have said previously, our club MUST not take the easy decision (the one that the media are already pushing) and parachute a New r*ngers into the SPL. If they do, they won't get any more of my money.
There's more to the football business than just turning up on matchday.

what pisses me off that we have all known for ages that blue baw bags are skint and are millions in debt.
but the media have only shown interest in the cesspool over the last few days.
whitewashed until there was no other option but to start openly talking about how corrupt the cheating bastards realy are.

    Something is afoot......
Also, lots of talk on rangerstaxcase.com recently suggesting that the only legitimate way for any "newco" r*ngers to re-enter the SPL (post liquidation) would be for CW to buy the mighty Saint Mirren and relocate. Of course, this is technically and factually correct. Luckily we've got good people at the helm, which is more than can be said about the team from Govan. Looks like they will need to rely on rules being bent to re-enter the SPL, but hopefully that won't be allowed to happen either.

    Strange.
It is a pretty amateurish statment for the chairman of the club to be making. Such a statement raises more questions than it answers. I find it absurd that any clarification was needed, so what is the reasoning behind the statement? At no time has there ever been the suggestion that writing to elected members was being done on behalf of the board, there has been no communication linking the board to such a tactic.
It looks like the games have started between the different parties.

I would have pointed out imo it's failings as a very undemocratic model of fan governance. Especially given the fact that 10000 hours decided late on to tell the FANS they would have their own Exec board in overall charge. And thank you for getting it 10000 hours do not have a succesful model, have no experience, and no connection to my club.

One or two things... I've told 10000 hours their proposal was back to front and fans were the last to be included in the most undemocratic model of fan/member ownership I've ever clapped eyes on.
It didn't get the funding they insisted was in the bag, We can only deduce that someone else questioned it's make-up and processes
The meeting tonight is about 10000 hours trying to salvage something, Obviously I don't want to help them in that, and perhaps other people don't either? and perhaps some do? What now we have to attend because 10000 hours having failed once say so?
No doubt everyone who feels you should attend even if you have no interest in 10000 hours will be in attendance at any other meeting with any other bidder (should it occur) even if they don't want that bidder to progress, just so they can shout and heckle them? yeah that'll work well.
Also wonder (bar the obvious ones) how many of these people beseeching you should be at the meeting even if you don't want anything to do with 10000 hours will be there themselves??? are we in for a "Pot, Kettle, Black" fest?

Strange... the morally outraged brigade who sit around all day waiting to be offended choke on their Abernethy's at a wee
and it's so shocking and outraging they have to repost it FIVE times!
I the culprit of the heinous crime of stuck it on as a "Aye right" to someone who had the arrogance to insist that i agreed with them, when for months it must surely be obvious to even the "Outraged Brigade" my POV couldn't be more different. Maybe this tells us more about a state of denial in the 10000 hours camp, and that stupid wee st mirren supporters should never have their own pov and must cow-tow to the posh bloke from Ayr!
The other hilarious thing is the continued insistence and requests that I should "Go along and ask the questions, put 10000 hours on the spot". I want them to go away and take THEIR failed version of a CiC with them, and not saddle my club with it... No Question!
Now could it be there are many waverers even among publicly stated pledgers that are looking for someone else to ask the questions for them???
I am crystal clear on my pov, I don't need anyone to ask the questions for me, maybe that's what's lacking among some of the pledgers?... KaHoonas!
Oh and for the "Purple in the Face Brigade" ... kiss it baby!......... go on re-post it ya know ya wanna!
