  1. He was training with us towards the end of last season and had a knee op at the end of the season, apparently it went well, I had been told that he was signing back in May as long as his op worked out. I had thought it would have happened before the season started if it was going to happen.
  2. Yep, Pixies fan here, i would agree that he had a couple of good saves but if he can't do the basics and can't learn from his mistakes then he won't give the other players confidence in his ability. I was in S4 and never heard him utter a word other than to moan about other players after the event rather than being a team player and helping his defence know what is about him when the ball was in play. Scrimmy had a cracking debut at cappielow and then was crap. Gallagher on performances so far will not get near even that one game high.
  3. Anyone that was calling for Gallagher to go in goals should be ashamed. He couldn't lace Scrimigours boots. Langfield is a goal of a start for the opposition but this guy is two goals of a start. At fault for both goals, the first was a carbon copy of the first mistake at Livi. The second he should have been shouting to Baird to tell him what to do or taken control and cleared it. Midfield nonexistent, nothing positive about any of the performances so far this season. Two vital games for Raes future in the next two weeks.
  4. Kieran Duffy will be our cover on the right hand side.
  5. Due to family commitments I won't be able to make it but Arab Strap reforming and playing the Barrowlands in October should be a terrific night.
  6. I didn't think the league cup groups had been decided yet, and whilst they are regionalised there is no guarantee that it will be us, Morton or Dumbarton together. Having said if we are in the same league then under 20s make sense.
  7. Totally agree a brilliant gentle story. Untouchable a French film about a quadriplegic and his career. Fantastically funny and touching.
  8. Only 3 of the team that started our first league game 15/16 are still at the club. Naismith, Baird and Mallan. A big turnaround in a season. Slightly surprised at Cooper, not because I thought he was good but because he has featured regularly since arriving.
  9. I've heard that too but I'm pretty sure of my source for this one, he will sign. Whether or not he is done is another matter.
  10. RM Hubbert was terrific at the Art School on Friday
  11. Kierran Duffy (ex Falkirk) will be with us next season, been training with us for a while, just had a knee op for a tidy up and unless there is a problem with it he will be our new right back/ right midfielder
  12. I believe Murray wanted Agnew on a two year deal but he rejected that and only signed for a year as he was going to use us as a stepping stone.
  13. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10262801/leicesters-riyad-mahrez-once-fled-a-trial-at-st-mirren-because-of-the-cold
  14. I believe that one involves a Dumbarton based businessman, but I don't know very many details. He has no previous connection with Saints.
  15. Saw Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat at the Oran Mor all dayer last year, they were fabulous only trumped by seeing Moffat's Where You're Meant to be, wonderful gig at The Caves and even better at Barrowlands, the film is also terrific. Highly recommend it.
  16. I believe one of the other parties is a Dumbartinshire based businessman that previously tried to buy Sevco.
  17. Let's not get too carried away with Goodie on the basis of yesterday, those of us that we're at Falkirk last week had a totally different impression of his contribution to the team last week and to say that his red card days are over and that he is no longer targeted is naive in the extreme.
  18. I know we have the nick name St Boo but the Falkirk fans were shouting for everything today and definitely influenced a very weak ref.
  19. Through a complete fluke managed to get an executive box for this. Twilight sad were good although not as good as Barrowlands but Chvrches were great. Was a good night out and as a first gig for our 12 year old hard to beat
  20. I hope it is like this as I have the original in a cupboard somewhere.... £50 saved
  21. Downside is it is the hydro, taking my 12 year old for his first proper gig.
