  1. The Manor Ground was Oxford United's ground not Oxford City's!!
  2. Very similar AS, we are lucky enough to have a cottage on Tiree and keep a boat up there. In the morning we'll head out to "The Banks" and fish for bait (normally Mackerel or Lythe) and then head back in to lift the pots and see what's come in for a feed. Off the north side of the island we'll occasionally get Conger Eels in the pots and on the south side Dogfish and the occasional Octopus. Strangely when I'm out on the boat I never give one moments thought to Brexit!!!
  3. I'd also add that for all he was hunting to eat he was out doing the hunting with his pals, just outside Turin, where there are plenty of shops, supermarkets etc...…...this wasn't "need to eat hunting" this was "thrill of the chase hunting"
  4. I agree with the Cod FTOF but not with the lobsters. I used to fish for lobsters, brown crab and velvet crab in the mid-90's and 95% of our catch was sold to France, Spain and Portugal purely and simply because we got a better price from those markets. Huge vivier lorries used to come from Europe at least once a week to Oban to pick up our, and others, catch. Lobsters are still plentiful just now going by the catches landed this year.
  5. St Mirren Twitter saying it finished 2-1 to St Mirren!!
  6. If the goalkeepers are staying closer to their line it means either the centre-half's play deeper and retreat into that space or alternatively try to keep a higher line which leaves a bigger gap for the forwards to run into...….both good scenarios surely!!
  7. Yup and I'd give it to McGinn
  8. Assist for Mullen's goal last night too!!
  9. He’s injured Ged62
  10. FFS, did you not read Doakes post?? Polar Bears are mixed race!!!
  11. That was once upon a time my local, we had the house/flat above what used to be the ice cream makers on the Main Street just out of picture on the right hand side!!
  12. Aye but is the profit "nett" or "operating" ??
  13. It certainly did on Saturday IoBS
  14. I was in hospitality on Saturday past IoBS but used the 1877 Club between 12:00 and 12:30 while we killed time between our train getting in and hospitality opening!! Enjoy your day
  15. Is that not only true if and when Jimmy Nicholl actually joins up...…..Stubbs, Jackson and Sports Scientist left and Kearney, McPherson and Mendes have joined us so in actual number terms to date it is one in and one out. I may of course be mistaken and missed somebody out, have to admit to a liquid lunch today and maybe my memory is somewhat distorted!!
  16. Just so I know we are on the same page LPM, who are the two board members whose "full-time" jobs are with St Mirren??
  17. Pray tell (just before you wank yourself into a total frenzy), where did "I" mention anything different??
  18. One of the board members full time jobs is working for the club. Where that salary is placed in the accounts will very much be led by the accountants and for very specific reasons.
  19. As a matter of interest Kemp, why not??
  20. I'm not sure his player registration will be cancelled hence the compensation should he decide to come out of retirement as a player.
  21. He retired and therefore contract would be null and void, no compensation. He has started a new career as a coach and the only way I can see that compensation may be a possibility would be if at some time, during the time we hold/held his player registration, he decided he wanted to play again.
  22. For me he had to deal with a horrible pass from McGinn (McGinn's fault) that bounced right up on him, he mis-controlled it (Bairds fault) and poor reactions from some around them (collective fault). Baird was definitely the most culpable but not "solely" to blame in my opinion.
  23. Baird may have "made and arse of it" but he was certainly not "solely" to blame for the first goal at Ibrox
  24. I'll DM you as I know someone who may be able to get that info but not really wanting to splodge it all over here!!
  25. It would depend firstly on the type of training required and at what level, different industry sectors command different rates of pay for their training.
