  1. Just so I can follow your logic Shull..............what do you suggest that after the referee did his first check in the morning, declaring that subject to the pitch not getting any worse the game would go ahead, St Mirren should do at that point??
  2. Whether that is right or wrong it was not a decision to be made by St Mirren but by the SFA representative (The Referee)!!
  3. Maybe they (SMISA) weren't far along the road enough with their proposal to put an "EA" in place yet or maybe haven't asked for such an agreement but certainly not something (at least this bit) to hold against Douglas St.
  4. He still is on a radio show albeit a different one..............
  5. His final ball is dreadful on the odd occasion that he hasn't already lost it before deciding to try a pass!!
  6. I wonder if it was LPM that made the anonymous call to someone in the media ??
  7. I was replying to a post you thought worthwhile to compose!!
  8. Whether they can be blamed for the fortunes or misfortunes is one thing but they can sure be blamed for the way they conducted themselves with threatening individuals, boycotts of anyone who even thought that the club/company had acted in any inappropriate way, the list could go on!!
  9. From everything else you've said I thought it was the fact that they "have" done the bits in bold that were causing your disquiet!!
  10. I've always enjoyed football at night under the floodlights. Some of my favourite games have been cup ties played at night in what seemed like wintry conditions.........Fulham, Feyenoord, Bristol City, Celtic, Motherwell (at the new ground) are games that spring easily to mind. I understand it might not be for everyone but I am really looking forward to tonight COYS
  11. if only I'd stopped at two!!! Congratulations Davej
  12. It was but it's a police issue regarding all-ticket at St Mirren!!
  13. Although I have some sympathy with parts of your argument there was an option to buy at £12.00 and pick up your tickets on the night which was running for a while and also the £15.00 period. This , could have been done online or today by phone.
  14. I'd guess the only benefit was that by agreeing his contract with a "buy-out" agreement (gentleman's I believe) was that we at least had his services for the first half of the season.......if the agreement was in place and the price was met then that's it, St Mirren weren't in control of the timing as that's the nature of these types of clauses.
  15. Also 11 in 33 games for Queens Park (as a 17/18 year old) and 7 in 13 games for Dunfermline..........for a young lad he certainly knows his way to goals!!
  16. I think, if the Thistle figures are anywhere near accurate, that there will be a crowd of over 5000 (maybe even a bit more) which with the way we've been performing isn't too bad. I know of four "Saturday golfers" going because it is on Friday and I'm sure there will be some amateur footballers in the same position. What would be good would be a decent signing either today or tomorrow to get some enthusiasm with one or two of the "dis-contents" and get them to come along too (although I know that may be unlikely!!).
  17. Let's just assume for a minute that it is the case.........where are you getting your information that the BoD are holding up the appointment of an Assistant Manager, I haven't heard anything with regard to it other than the "2 plus 2" assumptions that came out of ARs' interview which Divs' post above refutes.
  18. A good number of them....... how many of them were penalties he was involved in winning, a good number of them.
  19. That would be the answer if the question began with a "who", it began with a "what" old chap.........anyway, as always, it's back to semantics rather than substance.
  20. I agree there is no doubt they have to take responsibility for it. As there can be no doubt then why ask the question in the first place (unless the only purpose is to draw attention (blame) to the fact). The more pertinent question, what are we doing this time with regard to picking a manager, was asked (see BLF's post)
  21. I guessed that to be the case.....more pointing out that it is easy to criticise others for not doing the bidding that you can't/won't do for yourself and shouting from afar. The reality may be that others (shareholders) weren't as concerned about the questions above, maybe even agreed with the board on the particular decisions they took or had previously sought out the answers directly from the decision makers. The BoD have made mistakes (in my opinion) and made decisions I didn't agree with but in my experience have always been willing to enter into discussion with me any time I've felt strongly enough to enquire.
  22. Why not attend the AGM and ask the questions yourself?? I was there and didn't feel that there was any sort of barrier to asking relevant (or otherwise) questions.
  23. I'll raise your 10 and ask you to quote where I mentioned you.......you didn't clearly read one post!!
  24. I don't think I've ever read a post where anyone has suggested that the board are beyond either reproach or criticism............from what I've read posters tend to defend the board when certain others criticise absolutely everything they do on every level (repeatedly).
  25. if the stand is rarely full (I agree incidentally) why can't the singers congregate in a bit that is already quite empty........I don't hold with this has to be in the middle stance of BuddieinEK although I have already said I'd like to see, hear, feel a better atmosphere in the ground. Motherwell's singers congregate in a corner at Fir Park, Partick Thistle were behind the goals I think (I know we have the Family stand there), Hibs are in the corner nearest the away stand etc.
