  1. Brilliant, buddie brilliant got to be given a couple of games to prove themselves. GT DL have found a formula that has the team roll up their sleeves. Beat Killie I would give them the gig.
  2. Agreed they have got the dressing room behind them no point in bringing anyone in just to change things all over again.
  3. Dundee manager Paul Hartley: "We have missed Paul McGowan's energy, drive and determination. The wee man hates being out injured. "He very rarely misses a training session. "Just to have him around the squad is terrific. His energy about the place is different class. He's been great for us and if we can get him back for Saturday it will be a nice lift." Dundee have a few players back today just our luck. Always felt we should have held on to Gowser obviously he has made a big impact at Dundee. Still we can't turn back the clock. Thommo is a big miss and very worrying the injury is coming back. Hope we have striker earmarked for the January window.
  4. My niece gave me a parcel to open on Christmas day ,turned out it was Kevin Bridges autobiography. I was sitting on top of the bunk with tears of laughter streaming down my cheeks. Went down to the mess room for a cup of tea other crew members were concerned I was upset as they said my eye's were red and could see I was crying. Don't worry boys these are tears of joy
  5. Your being a wee bit harsh Yards. The club could have been sold by now , there have been 20 separate enquiries some 'not suitable' others not putting in a bid. Maybe you don't like the current board , fine but at the end of the day they are St Mirren die hard's. A lot of fans would give their right arm to have die hard's run the club. As for Stuart being in South Africa so what ? Is the man not aloud to have a life outside the club. Remember this the guy that fought tooth and nail to save 'YOUR' club and with the rest of the board put up hard cash and signed over houses to save 'YOUR' club. I work abroad in offshore. I speak to my wife a few times a day, we even video chat. It's almost 2015 mate there are lot's of way's to communicate , the day of the pigeon are truly gone. Lastly 20 different parties have looked at the club with not one making a firm offer even though they said they would. Just imagine Stuart cancelling his holiday each time someone came to look at the club.
  6. Even one should have your alarm bells , smoke alarm , missile defence system all going off at the one time. Bit surprised your thinking its worth a shoot Griff. Did not know there are two other consortiums looking to purchase the club. Where did they spring up from as have heard nothing in the press ?
  7. When was the bid accepted ? Why Did Motherwell knock them back ? Tell us a success story of overseas Investors in Scottish Football please.....
  8. Hope they get the bastards that could be anyone of us attacked which proved fatal to the poor Bud after the Thistle game. The law does not come down hard enough on mindless neds.
  9. Just because an offer will be tabled does not mean a take over is 'Immenant' The board will want to know what their long term plans are ensuring the club is 'safe'. Some fans have done a bit of home work on past history on this consortium throwing up some serious history on one of them. The board will have done checks also I think this deal will be rejected. Could be wrong but I don't think so only time will tell.
  10. Plummer is a class act and look forward to him being back in the team to help save our season
  11. Have a bad feeling about this given the history of their past.
  12. We are in a bad place at the moment ? I'm sure the board would openly admit a mistake was made appointing Tommy Craig though I can understand why the move was made in the first place. Now a new manager will be appointed to try and correct the mistake. Currently we have a board that balance the books which in turn keeps the club 'ALIVE' To think we could have owners from half way round the world on their white stallion horses and shinning white armour carry bags of gold is a fantasy even the late Walt Disney could not envisage
  13. To me many of you are clutching at straws wanting change just for the sake of it. Granted things are not ideal at the moment even the board admit change is needed. But anyone no matter who it is. Even they Argentinians given their past history. I'm very curious what they want from a Scottish football team. Also can't see anyone pouring money in to a club that is thousands of miles away from where they live and are based. They obviously see a way of making themselves a profit. Why else people living thousands of miles away would want to purchase the club. I'm nervous , very nervous for the future of the club should this deal go through
  14. By the sounds of things Teale got the team playing yesterday granted we lost the game and our striker playing most of the game with 10 men just a bit unfortunate not to take something from the game. Given that could you explain to me what another manager could have brought to the table , genuine question For me Teale should be given time , yes it's a gamble but so is bringing in a new manager. If Teale can get the team playing would rather see the money spent on strengthening the team in the January window.
  15. I take it you have recently read the Secret Buyers thread ? From that I'm sure you know the Argies will fall into the 'Not Suitable Category' Therefor there will be no takeover in January. I would also contribute to a monthly subscription though I still think 10,000 hours was the best opportunity missed. Maybe SMISA and the fans council could sit down and come up with a plan simply because it needs to be led by 'st mirren' people given the history of 10,000 hours.
  16. Stuart I fully understand a player wanting to make as much money as possible. The answer above was in response to a post blaming the chairmen for not having the player on a longer contract. When a contract is signed the player has been given advice from the agent. They are the ace cards in deals. All clubs are at the mercy of agents just unfortunate the further down the chain you are budget wise the more you are shat on by agents.
  17. What do you do ? Twist his arm up his back ? We can only offer what can be afforded. The biggest problem in football today is the 'football agent' who fill players heads with riches of gold , castles on Hills and Bentley sports cars. Of course the bottom line is it's the agents who best interest is at heart. Forget that though just blame the board.
  18. As long as Saints get a decent amount of cash for John it would not bother me where he played. The McGinn's have a big Celtic connection and John is a admirer of John Brown so would imagine he would love to play along side him. Who knows as long as Saints can benefit from any deal that's all I care about. Obviously best wishes would go to john if he leaves
  19. Would rather say McLean is a professional and through guidance from the coaching staff has been motivated to roll up the sleeves and get the club out the situation we find ourselves in. Hence the improved performance all over the park yesterday.
  20. According to the Scottish Sunday Mail on line. Would be a big loss though we might end up with a bit more money than what we would get in the summer. Thoughts ?
  21. You had a good time in that marquee tonight didn't you !
  22. Sounds like this has been a roaring success , had my doubts given the time of year so very well done to the organizers. Hope this will be repeated in the future hopefully at a time when I'm home to attend.
