  1. Would this be the type that someone may well give you had they not borrowed it?
  2. I would not be surprised in the least to learn that other user's of this fine forum also have an interest in cycling, not in the least bit surprised shall I be. If we were all interested in the same thing then one would assume that life would indeed be very dull. The entire poulation of Scotland for example cannot fit into our stadium in Greenhill Road and if everyone was as enthusiastic about our wonderful football club as most of us forum user's are then we would have no-one to play, no-one to play at all as they would all be trying to get to our games that are not on as we have no-one to play. Likewise cycling would also be very chaotic as the roads would be full of lycra clad cycling enthusiasts riding bicycles with great difficulty due to the road being extremely clogged up with other lycra clad cyclists. Because of the cyclist caused congestion on our roads food would be etremely expensive due to the delivery lorries having such difficulty in getting food to the supermarkets due to the chaotic cyclist filled roadways. Obesity would not be such a problem, not only becasue of the fitness aspect of us all cycling but because we could not afford to eat due to the problems with deliveries as I previously pointed out. Variety is the spice of life. I like what I like and often hate people who are not like me. Sweet diversity of life.
  3. Very interesting article. It is such a shame that I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in cycling as otherwise I am sure this would have been a very enjoyable read. Oh well I hope the little fellow gets a chance to win his bicycle race again but I must admit that I will probably not notice if he wins or fails. Thank you for your effort's in posting that however.
  4. I do not know where your interests lie in life or what team you support (if any) but you are certianly not a supporter of the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co first team playing squad. I think the term for such nonsensical behaviour is "troll" as I have seen the word used in various media publications to describe people who mis-use the internet much like yourself and Stuart Dickson. Grubby, distasteful and unwelcome. Anyway, in order to raise myself from the low level of the conversation I have partaken of I shall return to topic with I like Darren McGregor and I do hope he stays but we shall see. In Tommy I trust, trust in Tommy indeed.
  5. And Tommy's wonders have started. We have a goalkeep everyone, a goalkeep we have

  6. That's me had my wee google trip and by golly I can see it although he has replaced the mirrors with mobiles. Not being much of a follower of Banksy (or much that is modern) I did not realise how similiar his artwork is in style to the wonderful work on the various album covers/singles/posters etc used by Pink Floyd over the years. Is this just more evidence that Pink Floyd were ahead of there time? ETA - Regarding number 2, have a wee listen to the album. The song is just so strange it is brilliant. I recall hearing it for the first time and I actually laughed out loud and that was in the days when the term "laughed out loud" was still used and we did not just type the highly lazy and annoying lol. lol.
  7. Good effort Howardy Hugh The marks are as follows 1) Correct 2) you passed - boooo 3) Correct 4) Correct 5) Wrong - boooo 6) Correct 7) Correct 8) Correct 6/8 is not bad at all my forum friend, not bad at all. I have a feeling you may kick yourself with number 5. Number 2 is certianly a track (as is the entire album) for the efficianado so do not be too hard on yourself. Well done, well done indeed. * Yes its a great line. The apparent statement made by the record producer following the success of dark side of the moon. It also includes "Its a hell of a start, you gottae get an album out, it could be mande into a monster if we all pull together as a team". Im singing it now as I type. ** Yes. Wonderfully written by Roger Waters. Just wonderful. *** Im googling it now, or I would be but I am replying to you but as soon as I have replied I will get googling.
  8. Let me share with you my knowledge of Rotherham United football club. 1) They are a football team 2) They have just been promoted to the English Championship 3) The manager is a heavy set fellow called Steve 4) Conor Newton, one of the heroes of the Saint Mirren professional football teeam pte ltd co first team playing squad that won the Scottish league cup for the very first time in the history of our great club in 2013 now plays for them. What else is there? Again, best of luck young Conor. I will keep a wee eye out for you just like I do for super strike Stephen McGinn.
  9. Yes it did but so did Saturday night by Whigfield and the Bob the Builder song but we are not discussing that here.
  10. Another week of Tommy Craig's brilliance. How blessed we are.

  12. I completely understand my sensitive forum friend, understand completely indeed. Yes this building (that I have never been in) truly is a loss and any damage to it will be felt by the art community particularly to those students who choose to do a degree in art rather than a useful subject. I would be somewhat inconsolable if Paisley abbey was to catch fire or our stadium at Greenhill road. But lets look at the positives No-one killed No-one injured It wasn't in Paisley Charles Rennie Mackintosh is a hugely important figure in our history and if he had built this art college in Paisley I would be right unhappy just as I would if the Coates memorial was burning as I speak.

  14. I just had a wee read, well more of a normal read of an Oldham Athletic fan's forum. Similiar to our forum but thank's to Div and his webmastery not nearly slick or modern or well used for that matter. Anyway it would appear that supporter's of Oldham are indeed rather keen to keep old Harky Harkins for themselves with quotes such as "Sir Gary Harkins" and "If he was just a bit quicker he would be unplayable" A poster who goes by the name of "Slash" brings it back down to earth somewhat with an assertion that every time this "slash" has seen Sir Gary his perfomances have not been of such a great standard. Does every fan's forum have a Slash? Does everyone need a Slash? Interseting. Maybe we do have a good player in our number after all!

  16. Don't upset yourself too much my sensitive wee soul of a forum friend. The main point from the article that you kindly posted a link for us to read/view is that every person has manged to alight from the building safely. Bricks and mortar, however nice can always be replaced but at such an early stage in any such incident the first worry is for the safety of the people in and around the building and also any emergency service worker's attending the incident. Now I am happy to read that no-one has been hurt. What started the fire? What was not done that should have been? What could have been done better? We can worry about that later.
  17. Ah very clever. I certainly appreciate a bit of intelligence in the banter, oh the banter!
  18. Isma was amazing, truly amazing. I sometimes pinch myself and wonder "did Isma really exist or did I imagine him?" Anyway, for much of last season we did not really have a partner for Thommo. Adam Campbell threatened to plug that gap but for some reason Daniel Lennon decided to sign him to fill the Aaron Mooy spot on our bench beside Djemba Djemba. One can only imagine the tactical nuances that Tommy Craig's mind will be filled with but I certianly hope we can find an effective foil for Thommo's toil.
  19. Tommy Craig's after lunchtime nap on a Friday army!

  20. Yes you are most likely correct If the term "most likely" assumes the meaning of "absolutely". Close season is a time when we football fanatics miss the trials and tribulations of what goes on in the cometitive world of professional football and to somewhat feed the desire many (like me, Shull, Faraway, Div, Linwood Bud and all the other legendry peoples of Paisley) turn to this very forum looking for information, banter and gossip pertaining to the professional sports team that is the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd company first team playing squad. Some of us just mumble on almost incoherently during the close season such is the pain of not having that adrenaline filled buzz that can only come from football on a Saturday. Some of us start topics over and over and some of us make nonsense posts whereby we point out things that were not worth pointing out at all. Ah yes the close season is a difficult time, a difficult time indeed. Self help group at the ground anyone?
  21. Sad to see young the young Newtonian leave. All who are Paisley and proud well recall the ginger Geordie skillfully blast the ball into the back of the net at Hampden one certian afternoon. Now, certian woman do not like other woman who are generally younger or more attractive than them. Does Tommy Craig have a similar issue with fellow gingers? ETA - Tommy might shout things like "I was getting sun burned on a dull day before you were even born ya wee strawberry blonde pretender, get oot ma club"
  22. Shull's poetic response to the closing of his favourite car components shop There was a shop, it sold car components amongst other stuff Shull shopped there so it must have been cheap enough But modern financial times well they are quite rough And for Shull to find a new shop he may find it kind of tough It was components and they were for your car Handy shop for Shull cause it wasn't too far Now he has to go to Halfords but its not on the same par Now Shull cries into a pint of tap water whilst sitting at a bar It was a shop but now it has gone The reality of car part prices begin to dawn Its not the same Shull cries out from his front lawn In the car component's game there were not kings but just another pawn Oh Cardonald you have lost one of your best Until a replacement is found Shull's taxi will never rest But Shull's plan's they are now all messed Because soon he needs components to get his taxi through an MOT test Its not the same Is it really the government to blame For in Shulls heart will always be a flame For the best damned shop in the car components game!
  23. Good luck young Newton lad, good luck indeed. This may be a good time to repeat the chant I made about young connor His second name is Newton and his first name is Connor He deserves a guard of honour And his cup winning goal it still gives me a stauner Oh yes I love you Connor
  24. Well done, I think you win the award for most clever post of the day! I must admit if tweeting and bookfacing existed when a young lad by the name of Christopher Kerr sustained his injury I may have found myelf typing something similiar (but not to Paul Dummett obviously).
