  1. Think it’s time for them to disband anyway, they had a good run but in reality the atmosphere hasn’t improved very much when balanced with how much trouble they are causing to the club name. Old Firm fan levels of behaviour today
  2. A lot of supporters were calling for him to be dropped. He wasn’t making outright individual mistakes like others, so because he wasn’t carrying a team of underperforming players he should be dropped? My point is people questioning his effort, if he played great in every game he wouldn’t be with us but he definitely gives his all for the stripes.
  3. Good performance all round. Time we started setting up like that against every team and shitfest some points. Special mention to Erhahon, Ferdinand, Jones and both McGinn’s. S McGinn shut up a lot of numpties slating him today - looked like a player giving his all to me. Midfield also looked a lot more solid with McShane in there who competed well whilst perhaps being a little slack with set plays. Final point is that Craig Samson is finished at this level - thanks for all your effort Craig but time for an indefinite spell on the bench.
  4. He doesn’t have an answer for that question. He’s just chosen an agenda to pedal that goes against the grain of opinion that most of the fanbase share, much like a child he feels the need to shout and scream at every opportunity to anybody that will rise to him.
  5. Correct it doesn’t, but you don’t play most of your career at a decent level if you don’t have it. Surely nobody is denying Ferdinand or Hammill’s quality? I don’t believe for a minute coaches at Man Utd would have Willock kicking about if he wasn’t half decent. Likewise with Jones at Southampton. With regards to Flynn and McGinn I trust JR’s assessment of players over some numpties in our fanbase, Flynn was signed specifically for the Prem FFS. Our team are playing with no confidence and well within themselves... there is an imbalance to the squad there is no doubt, but we shouldn’t look as poor as we do.
  6. Okay... I think it’s a fairly safe bet he ‘gives a toss’. Catch a grip of yourself, nobody is playing particularly well - Ferdinand played in the Premier League for years, Hodson, Flynn, Hammill and Jackson are all experienced at a Championship level, Smith was our POTY last year, Jones is the captain of England’s finest Academy... Matty Willock is on Man Utd’s books FFS! They should all be playing well but they’re not, a decent formation and being instructed to keep the ball on the deck would give them half a chance.
  7. When does TopCat get put in the sin bin permanently for making other posters’ eyes bleed?
  8. I have no doubt some of the players will have tried their hardest, unfortunately some of them at 120% are still way short of the standards required.
  9. Alarmingly, only really S McGinn and possibly Smith looked as if they cared. We don’t stand a hope in hell if we juke out of 50/50s and fail to close down players.
  10. Clearly he has ability or he wouldn’t be on the books of what is essentially the best Academy in England, however, he has no positional sense, and will be feeling considerable pressure so just seems to hoof the ball away anywhere as soon as it reaches him. Reminds me very much of Paul Dummett when he arrived, unfortunately he doesn’t have a squad of decent SPFL players around him like Dummett did.
  11. Good to see the spirit of Halloween lives on, Alfie Jones dressing up as a footballer this evening. Aside from that we played 90 mins of hoofball to dwarves, our keeper gifted a goal with his usual list of errors and we struggled to string 3 passes together. Grim.
  12. One thing that’s often surprised me is people’s tendency to lump Ian Murray together with Tommy Craig, and even Alex Rae. The football wasn’t great but we were very much transitioning at that point. I reckon Murray had a tougher job than the other 2 when comparing the point the 3 of them took over from. We’ll have to do something quite special to reach the levels of dross we did in 14/15 (although we’re giving it a good go) and i’ve not seen us with a more imbalanced squad devoid of so many attributes than the one AR left behind.
  13. Nice to see him earning his wages this week after his recent antics.
  14. This is nothing new really. JR employed tactics last year that required us to win the 2nd ball from Samson kickouts high up the park, unfortunately Samson’s distribution is woeful and barely reaches the opposition half (if in the field of play at all!)
  15. It really pains me that any visitors to the forum not of a black and white persuasion will see you diluting it constantly with your drivel and think you’re a representation of the rest of us.
  16. I wish you could spell CHOKED correctly but here we are.
  17. This must’ve been at a time when I avoided the forum... is the aforementioned poster still active on here?
  18. I beg to differ, decent turn of pace for his age and a good touch, reads the game well. He certainly didn’t look as if he last played for a club a whole league below Brock-Madsen’s parent club anyway! What’s your argument about Ferdinand?
  19. A spirited last 35 minutes or so, but ultimately no cigar. An improvement on last week and we’ve never really been expected to take points off your Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, etc... it’s the games against our rivals that will make or break our future, having said that Hibs didn’t look great going forward. Ultimately our ‘keeper has sold the jerseys at the goal, along with whoever should have been marking Gray. Jackson and Ferdinand looked a level above all in the stripes today. Honourable mentions to the McGinn’s, Flynn and Baird. Jamieson and MacPherson done OK too respectively, although the latter definitely needs to play the whistle more. Roll on the transfer window!
  20. If you think the online process is bad I don’t advise you to buy in person!
  21. You seem a bit confused with your own opinions these days, Captain. Back on ignore you go.
  22. Cooke played reserve game on Monday i’m sure. If Heaton’s recovery has went ok he should be back by second or third week of October. We never got any confirmation of timescale for Mack and Rogers.
  23. Yes, it would be! I would love us to unearth a Louis Moult or such likes... but we haven’t, as performances show (along with the sporadic use of these players by the man that signed them and his replacement).
  24. A bit of luck and some confidence would go a long way too.
  25. What a steal that would be. Good to see us aiming high, rather than the 6th or 7th tier of English football supplemented by players who haven’t played a senior game...
