Bill Lees
I've not got an Ipod. I used to have a Walkman - in fact I think I still have it - but I just don't feel the need to have music in my lugs wherever I go. I have a radio/CD player in the motor and that does me. I do have a small digital radio that I sometimes use on train journeys etc.

I do have a small digital radio that I sometimes use on train journeys etc. I don't have an iPod either. I find it hard to think of a more over-rated modern gadget on the market today. An inferior sound quality to a CD player but apparently that doesn't matter. I guess marketing and hype are all that matters.

dblue
I don't have an iPod either. I find it hard to think of a more over-rated modern gadget on the market today. An inferior sound quality to a CD player but apparently that doesn't matter. I guess marketing and hype are all that matters. I've been through them all Thorizar -- vinyl, tape, CD and digital and, whilst I am still a vinyl man at heart, I like the convenience of the ipod. I'm a reviewer and it means that I don't have to carry the CDs about with me all the time, I just load them onto the player and off I go. The sound quality is good - it's all down to the quality of the recording that you are uploading. Anyway, this weeks tracks are: 1) You're A Bastard -- Mark Lemhouse (The Great American Yard Sale) 2) Teach Your Children -- Crosby Stills Nash & Young (So Far) 3) Black Man Ray -- China Crisis (Flaunt The Imperfection) 4) How Come -- Ronnie Lane 5) Rocket To The Moon -- Runrig (The Cutter & The Clan)

stuartmunn
1) Relegion - James Grant - My Thrawn Glory 2) Afraid - David Bowie - Heathen 3) Rusty Cage - Johnny Cash - Unchained 4) Faith Healer - SAHB - Zalvation 5) Prarie Wind - Prairie Wind - Neil Young... For you iPod doubters... the sound quality can be almost as good as a CD, but when you arr out and about the quality is easily good enough, miles better than a walkman for example! you are not actually listening in a perfect acoustic environment..... I have got most of my CD collection on my iPod, and I've listened to stuff I've ignored for years this alone makes it worth its weight in gold, its a brilliant invention.. another bonus as I spend 60% of my life away from home... its not practical to carry around 100's of CD plus a stereo system now is it ...? Buy one ... Cheers Stuart
