PCCABE
Would seem the juniors aren't really up to much. That's the best Junior team and they couldn't beat one of the worst teams in the lowland league. Shocks happen and they got a late draw. They are 9/1 to win the replay which is more reflective of the gap between them.
scottd
Junior is no longer brown envelope football and pay our taxes the same as everybody else. Thanks for playing the stereotyping game though. 'No longer brown envelope' which would indicate that it was in the past. Unlike some of the roasters on here I've nothing against the juniors just there was always the impression of back room dodgy dealing. Glad to hear that is no longer the case. Also wasn't unusual for players to play under a different name for a one off fee. Apologies for jumping to conclusions mate. Apologies for jumping to conclusions mate. No need to apologise. My bad for making crude assumptions about the junior game. What would be nice is if we had a national game system similar to what they have in England. I know the juniors weren't that interested in the Lowland League but the Ayrshire and Central leagues coming together shows that the junior game is not incapable of reform. scottd
Is The Lowland League not a higher standard than The Juniors? I wouldn't have thought so. If it were then the juniors would have joined it instead of shunning it.

Lowland League teams are involved in the Pyramid System along with the Highland League. I know a lot of Junior Clubs aren't interested in the Senior Leagues but I don't know if they were even invited into the Pyramid System. Only a few were interested and none from the junior world.

TediousTom
Completely off topic however a memory has popped into my old brain. The last junior game I went to was about 10yrs ago. It was Renfrew juniors vs Shettleston. Renfrew won 3-2 in what was a "no bad" game. Anyway a wee fellah scored a header for Shettleston and I thought to myself "I recognise that wee man". Turned out to be one Geordie Shaw.
