faraway saint
Although this was on the cards still sad. Bill was an excellent presenter, he could handle the "heavy" news items and excelled in amusing reports, a real people's person. He never hid away during his illness, even when he was clearly not great. Thanks for the memories. PS BBC Breakfast just done a piece on exactly what I said above. stlucifer
Sounds like one of those people who no one could really dislike. An unusual feat for any human being. R.I.P.
Wooden Saint
Very sad news as I have watched the bbc news for years and he was professional and personable at the same time. Cancer is still a bastard even with the improvements in treatment over the years. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and the millions of viewers. I'll raise a glass this weekend, he deserves it.
