ST SID
There was a bakers in Lochwinnoch that used local youngsters to make up the pies for the local priest college. As there was an intense hatred between the student priests and the local youths all manner of bodily fluids found their way into the pie mix. Bud the Baker
whosyirdaddy The Small Faces - Song Of A Baker from Ogden's Nut Gone Flake one of THE classis psychadelic albums (useta have the vinyl version with the round gatefold sleeve). Have it on CD now. To change the topic slightly I also have a Small Faces double CD with everything they did for Immediate Records on it (demo's, alternative versions, b-sides not on albums etc) but I find it hard work to listen to. So I stick to either Ogden's or Greatest Hits. Sometimes I feel less is more. You'll listen to the extra stuff once or twice but if it wasn't good enough to be released then then it should stay in the vaults (esp. true of a lot of the Syd Barrett* stuff that has been released over the past 5 years. * = "Alarming Confessions of an Old(ish) Hippy" Edited August 12, 2004 by Bud the Baker

Bud the Baker
Tom is that the one you threw off the Old Sneddon St bridge and then chased after as it floated down the Cart? No. That was a copy of Steeleye Span's eponymous first album. PS undefinedMouldy Old Dough...Lieutenant Pidgeon. One of the few bands to feature Mother and Son!!!!! (Very rock'n'roll) On a similar theme, what have Tubeway Army and Spirit got in common? DongaTon
I think Ogden's Nut Gone Flake is one of the most overrated albums of all time, and I like the Small Faces. That arsehole who talks funny totally ruins it. The Foo Fighters version of Baker Street is fcking immense by the way.

Bud the Baker
On a similar theme, what have Tubeway Army and Spirit got in common? Didn't think there was much interest, Div: anyway Gary Numan and Randy California (crazy name, crazy guy) both formed groups which included their uncles (on drums). Donga, The narrator of the Happiness Stan section of the album was Stan "the man" Unwin a star of radio.
