I was out last night, watched it but couldn't really concentrate.
Certainly looked a lot more lively than the Japan game and was end to end stuff, quite a decent watch.
Nothing in it, except for the goal. Ivory Coast are rated 37 in the world rankings, Japan are 19th, Scotland 38th so playing two decent teams has been a good decision.
Oh, I noticed Japan beat England last night, gives some perspective to Saturdays game.
Anyhow, considering we must have fielded over 20 players between the two games it's been a worthwhile exercise, albeit a goal or two would have been better.
That's us until 30th May when we play Curacao, I'd imagine it'll be closer to our strongest team for that game.
It's going to be yet another "Cruel Summer" in my opinion.
Scotland often struggle in friendly matches or if the players have nothing to play for.
There's always a last ten minutes rally to get a goal to salvage a draw or make the score look better but on the whole these games are turgid affairs.
