I thoroughly enjoyed the cup final thanks for asking. I am fully aware there were calls to try something different around the time of the Motherwell game. But the manager had built a team/squad to play with five at the back, over the previous seasons, so do not see how a week on the training ground could get us ready to tackle one of the best passing and moving teams in the division at the time, with a change to the tried and tested that he had built our success on. The result of the game is all you need to look at with Motherwell 5-0 up after just over an hour.
I also did not see the point in moving Gogic into midfield and then saying it was like having a "New signing" when he moved him back to the defence. We had Donnelly and Campbell fit but he did not want to use them. Well what was the point in signing them? For a manager that kept harping on about budget restraints this came across to me as slightly ironic. We also have two central midfielders on loan at Partick Thistle who he also deemed not good enough. So surely I am allowed to question his signing ability, latterly in his tenure, this has been very poor.
I disagree with your take on our early season results and performances, as for me we have been pretty poor all season, as the league table and goals scored column will testify.
We certainly have not had a rub of the green from VAR, and for most of us who attend the games regularly, we would love to see the back of it for sure.
You are sorry he is away and I am glad he is gone, so let's agree to disagree.
Did you enjoy the cup final, you do remember that, right?
Oh, there was plenty looking for us to change things up for the Motherwell game.
Aye, this seasons been, overall, tough but you seem to have amnesia recalling our early season results and performances when utter incompetence combined with VAR certainty cost us enough points that would have had us, safe.
Yip, never top six this season but a league Cup victory that most will never forget and, at least, we're in the Scottish Cup semi final.
