Holden
I have every issue. As well as Around 250 copies of issue 4 I believe. We were too quick bringing out the fifth issue so we never quite sold the previous batch. Glad you kept them. Hope you enjoyed them too. StanleySaint
I used to enjoy them too, I remember a tale that was particularly Brookmyreish in nature, would that be right??
MenstrieSaint
Used to find the rumours bit interesting , we were linked to loads of players , and had loads on the bank , happy days
Holden
No Brookmyre was involved. He wishes and regrets not contributing. Probably. The rumours were not rumours. They were truths because of the fact that one of the alky squad was within the board room wearing a big hat and false moustache. The Sh!t was indeed ....hot. HCJ. Holden
Fanzines were great at that time. The Final Hurdle was an excellent Dundee Utd fanzine with great wit and superb contributions from people who went on to great things in . . Journalism. Sort of. Not really sure that (fanzine) kind of imagination and humour is replicated anywhere these days. We can see journalists today trying to replicate it but largely failing due to their constraints. In saying that... The fanzine inspired On The Ball - on the BBC wi Tam and Stuart does a good job with their attitude, language and humour on Radio Scotland. Great job in fact. What is lacking is something tangible that people can look at months later or years later and laugh or cringe at. Fanzines mark a period in time that take us to the styles, fashions and attitudes of that era. Which can be embarrassing. Anyway. . . isn't Lewis Morgan just excellent to watch. Much better than Paul Kinnaird. Blah blah......
shull
Dunno about Kinnaird, but he is better than Elliot.
