  1. I should clarify, the same fans that I have criticised do create a fantastic atmosphere within the grounds, particularly away games. Good natured, no threats of violence. I just wish they could wait until they are in the ground before they get so vocal. This is obviously not a St.Mirren disease.
  2. Yes, normal people. People that go about their business without affecting, intimidating, causing alarm to others. I don't consider the majority of fans on that train to be acting normally. I know going on a wee trip away and getting tanked up at 9am in the morning gets people excited and boisterous but, not normal to me. Perhaps normal to the few that habitually act that way.
  3. I was on train that Saints fans invaded. I think they seem to forget that normal people, going about their daily business, are on trains. Don't want to see drink getting chucked about, tables getting hammered and constant swearing and singing. I support my team passionately but don't feel the need to intimidate non football fans in the process. The problem with Buckied Up football fans is they think they are not doing anything wrong and are just loveable rogues who follow their team everywhere but to sensible members of the public, and I include myself, they are a menace. Get on the train, drink your drink but don't let grannies, young kids feel threatened by you. I know I am going to get flak here but no-one can tell me I am wrong over this. Saints played well today, front to back. McShane was excellent. Clapped off by McGinn. Buchanan very aggressive. Lost nothing in air. No boozed up neds on 1659hrs back to Stranraer. Total bliss.
  4. He will be top of the team sheet, not necessarily first. When I picked my team, my star striker was pencilled in first. Sometimes I could not decide what keeper to play and I would pencil them in last. Depended on who turned up at pub with worst hangover from Friday night.
  5. Looking forward to tomorrow. Train arrives at 1256 tomorrow, steak pie luncheon washed down with a couple of lager tops, Saints to win 3-0, back in Barrhead at back of 7pm, visit to East End Tandoori for an extra large shish kebab, open up a Chilean Merlot and watch the highlights of Scottish Open Golf. I defy anyone to suggest that this is not the perfect day.
  6. Agree with that. Always been impressed with him when I saw him play. Remember a game last year or was it the season before against Aberdeen at Dingwall where he ran the show. Think he scored 2 that day and think I recall his shooting from distance was exceptional. I may be talking crap and actually thinking about Jorge Albertz in the mid 90's. Either way, a good bit of business by us.
  7. I think Ross needs to think about shipping out 9 and signing 9 new players before window shuts. It worked last season. Of course, tongue is firmly in my cheek. Could be worse, we could be New Sevco fans. Cannot wait to read about that in the morning. Still optimistic about our chances for the season.
  8. You could get off at Barrhead and get a bus into Paisley. What did the fish say when it was run over by a Barrhead - Paisley bus...."aargh McGills"
  9. 15 minute walk from ground to station. Light jog or stiff walk should get us there directly after final whistle. I am getting off at Barrhead, visit to Chinese in Rowan Street and stuffing my face by 745pm in my mancave.
  10. Come on Weddy or Wendy, stop these ridiculous comments. Are you never going to grow up. You will end up in the Sin Bin like Shull and all the other Lost Boys... (do you see what I did there)
  11. With posts like this, they won't get off the Hook too easily.
  12. I hope Weddy has an appropriate adult with them.
  13. Cheers mate. Struggle with erektion too..
  14. Agreed, the mere mention of Gunni gives me a stawner.
  15. Seems so long ago chanting that name. Correct me if I am wrong. Did we call him that as he was a free kick expert. Memory a bit hazy.
  16. For a bonus point, can you remember his nickname.
  17. I remember playing with my new snooker table, subbuteo and eating my chocolate orange from Santa Claus when game was being played. Although only 5 at the time, I vividly remember Bob Crampsey covering the game on the wireless. My mother whistling in the kitchen preparing our Christmas dinner, my father slumped on the couch, pished on cheap sherry. Happy, happy memories.
  18. Bloody hell, can't believe we let Frank McDougall go to Aberdeen. This will come back to haunt us......MARK MY WORDS.
  19. Never been so excited about a season and I am "glass is half empty" type of fellow. COYS.
  20. Aaron Mooy has become a millionaire on the English Riviera.
  21. Yes, as confusing as what will happen with the John Mcginn and Kenny McLean sell on fees. Think I will stick with Spotify....(how do you turn on wifi)
  22. The holiday camp that Su Pollard cleaned in. Hi De Hi.
  23. Just do not get into an argument with him or his friends over a ferret.
