  1. You could be right Tam. The Argentinians interest was very public at the end of last year in the media, whereas the English consortiums interest was plucked out of thin air only a week or two before advanced talks began, despite showing interest since last summer. It wouldn't surprise me if there is more to this, especially with the silence from the 'bored'...i mean board.
  2. Lower league in England isnt much worse than the spl.
  3. I've got a feeling with the departure of Caldwell, Drury and Plummer, Teale will only have the opportunity to bring in one or two at the most players whilst in charge without outspending what was already on our summer budget, whilst these takeover negotiations are going on.
  4. Great post Tam. I think the silence from the board on any matters could be down to them trying to secure the sale with a rival consortium and any communication with the media could be tampered with and turned into a game of chinese whispers.
  5. I trust whoever the current BOD sell to, is the right choice for the club. If it is true that the Argentinians are proposed to take over, they will have been months of research by the board to make sure everything is covered, in terms of who the guys are, what their plans are and that there plans are sustainable and for the best of the club.
  6. Dont think anything will be announced until the deal is completed or dead on the takeover this week.
  7. Have board chucked it? Aye....like 5 year ago
  8. 3k just now. Any worse from the product on the park, then expect that to drop by a few hundred.
  9. Especially at a point when the club was close to being sold only a day or so ago, any interested party, whether it be fan based or local company, would have showed their hand. Just my view and i know i will probably get shot down for it, though i don't think we have a big enough fanbase to support a fan ownership to match our ambitions to move forward as a top 6 club.
  10. Similar to how we acquired Gregg Wylde. We were looking at a loan deal originally and Aberdeen made him available for free when we showed interest.
  11. Current affairs are a prediction for record low season ticket sales next season imo, which will lead to further cost cutting in the budget. 4 players departed (whether you consider them valuable first-team players or not still leaves a hole) managerial position unresolved and now, that it looks like the current BODs will be staying on, with being almost a ballhair away from selling the club, what ambitions have the current board got in store for the club, seeing that they almost got their 5 year awaited wish of breaking free?
  12. He's been linked with Morton and Dunfermline already, so maybe there was interest there and there HAS been a mutual termination as he wasn't guaranteed even a place on the bench. I still think its harsh on the lad to say he wasn't good enough, as he only had 2 starts all season, with pressure on him to make an immediate impact from the bench. However, not making even the bench possibly suggests that there was more to it, possibly attitude, if the boy McLear was picked in front of him.
  13. I think its unfair to call anyone crooks when their full profile hasnt been released. As this guy said in todays Herald report, he made clear to the BOD last summer about his past and he would have no involvement once the deal went through.
  14. Shull, not everyone has the same opinions as you in terms of who you want in charge of the club. We are a professional football club and sometimes i feel your views are almost Junior football level in terms of where you want us to be playing. The only thing that satisfies you at the moment is the free beans with your pie at the games.
  15. Could that have been the snag (yesterday) and all other media are only picking up story now? Could still go through minus mo.
  16. Yeah, doesn't mean the rest of the guys involved are shady. I wonder if he was one of the guys who would have been a single major investor in the group, or if he was just an associate/advisor. It sounded bloody exciting whule it lasted and gutted nothing has now happened. On the plus side, its pretty evident that no sale will go through in january, most likely that teale will get the gig till at least end of season and any clarification on signings will now be clearer.
  17. I think he is more likely to leave in the summer. He still has half a season to play and show a level of consistency in till end of season in a relegation battle. If he shines as i expect him too, suitors will start to come forward.
  18. Shull, there are plenty of clubs run by non-supporters of the club they own that are working financially sound. The consortium mentioned going by the herald have a similar view to our current board of producing our own, making full use of ralston to get a better pick of youngsters and adding in some experience through contacts in the game I for one think its an exciting proposition and would like to see us challenge further up the league instead of constantly setting ourseleves out for a relegation battle, or worse, scrapping it out in the lower leagues. Crowds would come back if the product on the park is delivering imo.
  19. He was on a ridiculously high wage in china from what i remember
  20. He left for a reason first time round. In his mind he should be playing for an EPL team and be in the national setup
  21. Theres a source on twitter that writes for the Scottish daily express who informed me today that he expects a deal to go through by the end of the month. Not sure if that is the argies or just the takeover on general.
  22. There is uncertainty over who will be appointed manager,if there is any money to sign players and who will be in control of the club come end of the month.
