  1. The club is majority fan owned, whatever semantics anyone wants to use that's the important fact.
  2. That's got the fish on their stripes so I guess we'll be able to get the Paisley on ours.
  3. Forensics-The Real CSI, unbelievable fire episode, those of you involved in Health & Safety will be flabbergasted!
  4. And me, clearly the sensible options.
  5. Heard Luton chairman in the radio saying one of their stands will be demolished starting Tuesday and they have 14 weeks to get new Prem League standard one built.
  6. Exactly this and I repeat my feeling that the squad we could afford wouldn't have the depth to deal with Europe and a league campaign without risking flirting with relegation. Let's get the squad enhanced, establish ourselves as a proper top 6 side then see where that takes us. A good summer recruitment and League Cup group stage would set us us up nicely for another good season.
  7. Just listened to Envy Of None, self-titled album from band formed by ex Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, really really like it, not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't this, kind of hauntingly rock/indie with a subtle folk edge. Couple of run through and I was hooked ☺️
  8. Dead rubber mid-day kick off sunny weather, I think you are trying too hard here.
  9. When my boy was younger we used to go to pre season friendlies all over he always liked going to Stirling Albion. Went to Blyth, Whitley Bay and Carlisle in one glorious week, although we signed Calum Ball and lost the Carlisle game but other than that great to see 3 in a week without travelling for more than hour ☺️
  10. Not my type of music but Private Dancer was written by Mark Knopfler I believe.
  11. I hope you are going to behave, the Northern Irish are not the people to act the hard man with.
  12. Well that's pish, had hoped for something a bit more Sunderland, Newcastle, Carlisle areas.
  13. It is a shite state of affairs but you missed out Bosman which has decimated the ability of smaller clubs to raise revenues from players and exacerbated the effects of the haves over the have nots. Not saying Bosman was wrong but it certainly hasn't helped.
  14. As I said in the referendum/independence thread I am very much in favour of independence but as I don't live in Scotland and have no immediate plans to return home I wouldn't expect a vote. I wouldn't expect to be disenfranchised in a referendum affecting England because I'm Scottish even though I live in England so equally wouldn't expect a vote in Scotland where I don't live.
  15. You'll be fine you did correctly refer to them as The Rangers ☺️
  16. I thought the 1877 was a pretty much closed shop and full up with members, so if AW does leave it there will only be 1 vacancy or have I misunderstood the membership model?
  17. Was thinking more of the tempting fate side of things.
  18. Neither have I, did think about it but with my boy driving back to Inverness and me back down here it is a long enough day and not drinking makes it less attractive.
  19. Aye, have noticed some artists get played quite often despite their waning influence in the 80s like Bowie for instance, might see if I can sneak on Absolute Classic Rock and see if she notices 😉
  20. Robertson's stats are all the more remarkable as Alexander-Arnold has been pushed into midfield proper this season too. Saw Ake as a defensive midfielder when he was a youngster at Chelsea not sure he would be rated as highly in a weaker side but I suppose that could he said of a few of the top 6 teams
  21. MrsS has become sick of my ipod so hss taken to putting on Absolute 80s in the car, normally not a big fan of radio but this has been nostalgically entertaining!
  22. I think if we are all honest we're all Elvis this weekend.
