  1. Doesnt want to spoil his league record against Celtic. Played 10 won nil , goals 1-27 against. If he was any kind of man, he would chuck it.
  2. Five years and its never been filled once. Sorry but the place is soulless, no atmosphere and wins have been very few and far between. Love St was a proper football ground. If the one highlight was the 4-0 win over Celtic, its a pity that most Saints fans didnt attend as we were sickened by the pathetic cup surrender a few days earlier. All in all, a bad move.
  3. Thats your local team eh, must hurt. Anyway, Aberdeen have had different managers in that sequence. Not implying theres anything "suspicious " about Lennon or anything, mind. Lol.
  4. Lennon league record v Celtic. P10 L9 W0 goals 1 for 27 against. Pattern emerging ?
  5. The patient has cancer and is terminally ill, but lets make a big issue about the fact he has an ingrown toenail, and treat that instead.
  6. Ive had faraway on ignore so this is his first effort Ive seen in ages. Go on, give us YOUR opinion then.
  7. I made the mistake of hiding under my rock so as not to know the score last night, and than had to endure the whole game. Utter misery yet again.I am now beyond contempt for Lennon and his ruinous tenure at my club.He even LOOKS as though he doesnt care and has a vacant visage. So our next game is Celtic away. If ever a person needed a result to hang onto his job, could there ever be a worse scenario than Lennon against his beloved Celtic. I hate to be so negative but this is a game we will almost certainly lose, even in normal times,so in order to perhaps hasten the departure of the worst manager in Scottish football, I would not be averse to a seven nil reverse. I have had the misfortune to witness Celtics favourite score on several occasions but would accept it on Saturday on the basis of "cruel to be kind" Such is my desire to be shot of Lennon.
  8. what would Lennons position be should we fail to win tonight (and I dont mean even a draw)? Given that Saturday is a certain defeat - and possibly by a big margin again - it must leave Lennon in a very precarious position. I assume he is to be given til the seasons end, regardless of the final outcome, but think it would be best all round if he left presently.Any signings should be taken with a pinch of salt, and will likely be realeased by the end of the season, as is the normal with his acquisitions.
  9. Yet another pathetic goalless performance and a rip off for £20. Let's face it, the board knows that Saints won't be relegated automatically as Hearts are doomed, so they are banking on either scraping third bottom or winning a play off. Otherwise the manager would have gone long ago. Instead he won't , quite rightly, be allowed to get any new players and we fans are being forced to watch rubbish like yesterday where we couldn't string two passes together . I don't go every week but have seen only TWO wins this season, how is that meant to sustain fans ? Btw is Lennon still at the club? I never saw him once yesterday, he must hide in his dugout. Perhaps even he has a sense of embarrassment at the incompetence. The new player Wylde ? Heart of a mouse, a typical Lennon signing. What's the odds we lose on Wednesday , don't bet against it.
  10. Everyone has their own opinion and I normally dont hop in and criticise others but Newton,Campbell and Dummett are not our players, they belong to another team. Thompson and Teale are great players, no doubt about that but its the other signings Lennon has made that really annoy most fans - even his supporters must agree - and its why I dont think any money will be allowed him to sign players because of this appalling record. On topic, there should be no question of a contract renewal, survival or not.
  11. I am aware that footballers are very often neither intelligent nor sensible, but this one has a bad reputation and in the week that another Saints player has disgraced the club I sincerely hope we dont sign Stevenson. I also have my doubts about Wylde, ability-wise, bearing in mind who signed him.
  12. I`m sorry but I wouldnt trust ANY signing made by Lennon, and what happens if we lose the next few matches and he is dismissed.!
  13. Please point out the Frogs flaws, oh great one !
  14. In agreement with Drew about pricing etc. I have been going to Saints for 40 years and only once have I had a season ticket (unfortunately it was the first season in the SPL and we got relegated, I ended up not going for half the games)Most fans were unable to buy a ST traditionally and just paid at the gate, which is what i still do.I think games are vastly overpriced at SMP for the standard of football on offer. Away games have now become prohibitive and I rarely go. I used to leap on a supporters bus to most away matches, not any more. The away record under Lennon, anyway, is enough to put anyone off going. I have unfortunately resigned myself to the manager remaining until the end of the season, which appears to be the only way of getting rid of him without bankrupting the club.I have no pleasure in admitting that, and just hope we can avoid the drop yet again. Its not rocket science to predict another reverse this coming Saturday I`m afraid. I trust neither the manager to bolster the squad with decent signings, nor the Board to replace the manager with a decent appointment. Thats how dispirited I feel at present. If only I didnt care !
  15. Perish the thought ! he was even worse than Lennon, lol. One thing though, I will not be confident in our Board to choose someone competent, after the last three incumbents. Dont like to leap to conclusions.
  16. Never mind a change of philosophy, its a change of manager we need ! Three years too late, but better late etc..
  17. No I waited 24 hrs before posting, if that's all right with you.
  18. I've been hopping mad but waited a day before posting. After this latest(predictable) defeat, it appears that the general consensus is that the manager is unsackable because it would be too expensive, lol. So despite being patently incompetent-not to mention an embarrassment when he speaks to the media- and having an atrocious league record, we wi ll just have to put up with him for the meantime ? In which case, watch the already paltry crowds dwindle further, and for goodness sake don't give him ANY money to further squander in the transfer market. Alternatively, dismiss the worst manager in Scotland first thing in the morning!
  19. Perfectly serious. Do you know who would be choosing the signings ? I rest my case.
  20. St Johnstone is a team which has always given us problems, doubt if any of us has seen us beat them more than a few times. In view of this, and our horrific current form, I expect another defeat tomorrow, unfortunately. Dont know if any new players will be signed this month, I hope not as recent signings have been poor and I dont see the point in loan players who are not really Saints own players. Just the humble opinion of a lowly aquatic creature, mind.
  21. Very few fans wanted Lennon after finally getting rid of the previous disaster. There are about half a dozen times already when the current manager would have been dismissed by other teams, after four years he has got us absolutely nowhere, apart from second bottom of the league on a regular basis (we will be there in a fort nights time again) I've spent £40 in the last week supporting the team. Go on then, tell me I'm wrong about Lennon!
  22. Good decision by the frog to miss today's game, result as predicted and expected. No shots on goal, yet another trouncing by the foreign mercenaries and the continuation of Lennons shameful record against Celtic. I just heard his interview on radio there and as usual he seems nonplussed at the manner of the defeat. Strangely most of his players have the first name "young", no doubt to try and excuse their lack of fight and ability. I have been calling for Lennons removal almost from the minute he arrived here, obviously without success so far, but surely today's pathetic lack of effort has to be the final straw. This is a team without motivation and a manager without shame. Just as a matter of interest , can any statto quote his record against Celtic, it has rather a suspicious pattern emerging , as regards defeats and goals scored ? Do not allow the signing of players unless a real manager replaces Lennon.
  23. Not going today but I was wondering if the area behind the goal is standing only again. I think it's refreshing that Saints have reintroduced standing for fans especially in this cold weather and it should be encouraged. Perhaps this might even be extended to home fans in the future.
  24. No slip, just my usual amphibious reference. Find it impossible to enthuse about the team under the current regime. As for that boor "faraway", keep your smartarse comments to yourself please.
