MYLES HYPOLYTE - Welcome
saintstroller replied to Sweeper07's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
Welcome Myles! I am for one very happy with this signing. Every time he has played against us either with Livingston or Falkirk any time he has got on the ball ive thought he looked dangerous with his running power while on the ball and strength. He definitely offers something different to the team that we might not have at the moment. Everyone has different opinions on him but he is now a St.Mirren player. Let’s get behind him just like we have with every other player this season -
Ian McShane Signs 2yr deal
saintstroller replied to Big_Mougie's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I think this is a great signing. Definitely a good player that could maybe replace the loss of Mallan. Very good technically and good with a dead ball. I felt that when he left QotS we had missed out on him by going to County obviously at the time County on up and us on the down. Think he will walk straight into the midfield -
IMO I think Andy Ryan would be a really good investment. There is a good potential there for him to turn into a better player playing within a better team. Obviously early doors in his career but signs are there that he could progress well. Dropped down the leagues to prove himself to get that chance to move back up. I would be really happy if we were to sign him. 2 year deal with year option (before anyone says that's a big risk, every player we sign is a risk cause you never know exactly how they are going to turn out to be like)

Queen of the South v St Mirren Championship 6/12/16
saintstroller replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Absolutely tremendous!! All season been waiting for a performance with a bit of fight and dig in it and finally got one tonight! Just showed tonight how much it meant to everyone that was there at the end! Fans were brilliant again! Constantly backed the team from the very start. Anyone know the official number of fans that went down cause we certainly made ourselves heard? Last minute decision to go paid off big time! COYS!! -
Fife Cheats V Saints 24-9-2016 - Live on TV

Missed the QotS and Dumbarton as I've been holiday really unsure if I'm going to go to this game. -

Don't think he will be fit for the Morton game. Think more than likely be the Raith game or to be safe keep him for the following weekend incase he makes the injury worse coming back early. When fully fit IMO he should be one of the first names in the starting line up

The Alex Rae And David Farrell Appreciation Thread
saintstroller replied to shull's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I know it doesn't but it means we have less games to play in a short space of time. So the players should get adequate rest and will should be fresher coming out against an opponent that are still in the cups. Could maybe work to our advantage -

Yes we are out of the cup but what would you rather have. A good cup run with an poor performance in the league finishing below the playoffs OR Out the cup early with a really good performance in the league getting into the play offs with the chance of going up -
Exactly. What's done is done now. Time now to move on and show what the team can really do
-
I never expected the team to go out and beat a premiership team but Im talking about the score line 3-0 that could of cost us due to the goal difference
-
If I'm proved wrong then brilliant we are through to the next round. But I'm just talking about from what I've seen so far and the performances haven't exactly been great
-
Saturday result against Hamilton has cost us big time. Really can't see us beating Edinburgh city by 4 goals.
-
Delighted that Shankland is back. He would of been my priority signing for this summer. Hopefully same again as last season with more goals
-
Think this will be a good signing but he is injury prone

Anyone know the gate prices for Saturday? -
Does that mean Jack Baird is moved further down the pecking order?
-
Delighted with Sutton returning but we need to now sign some pacey players that will provide from him and clarkson. Also provide the movement aswell as wouldn't say Sutton and clarkson are the most mobile of players. But still happy with the big man returning

Message From Carswell
saintstroller replied to billymehmet1's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
This whole situation with the players is gone way too far. Some people need to have a reality check! Go through the first team squad how many players actually are St.Mirren fans! A very small number! Yes players need to be careful on what they put on social media but come get a grip! -
Alan Gow - The Forgotten Man
saintstroller replied to saintstroller's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
Always thought Gow is technically pretty good but it's everything else that does along with it. Injuries and lack of effort sometimes. Personally I wouldn't give him a new contract next season as he has hardly played any football for us so far. Just been there picking up a wage for the last 6 months or so Definitely could put that wage to good use for someone else -

Alan Gow - The Forgotten Man
saintstroller replied to saintstroller's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
He is shite can't disagree with that. Was just wondering what's happened to him. As seems he is off the scene now -
Where has Alan Gow gone to? Hasn't been in any squads for weeks and weeks Is he injured or just completely not in any plans at all?
