  1. "Kenny Crawford BBC Sport Scotland in Paisley St Mirren will be delighted to get in 0-0 at half-time, because they’ve now played their half against the wind and rain. After the break we’ll see how Livingston deal with it. The Buddies really came back into it towards half-time and the power and pace of Duckens Nazon is very impressive."
  2. Hope we're no gaunie start being as successful as Coventry....
  3. If you had any decency you’d have deleted all your illiteracy slurs long ago.
  4. How could you post that?! It’s a challenge... you know the people who post on here. I’d bet a few will....
  5. And now my prostate's been finally fixed, it's hard to stop once it gets going.
  6. Dougjamie posted this in another thread and I didnae want tae take that off-topic.... In the last few days, sevco (that's TRFC not their RIFC " holding company" which recently publicised a Xeroxed note, unratified, about an alleged £5m profits being made in the first few months of the season) has taken two loans (secured on assets) from Close Brothers to keep the gameshow on the road. If the "holding company" genuinely has all that profit, why is it not being utilised to run the club, instead of taking expensive Wonga-style loans - and putting the precious assets at risk? So much money vanishing from the pockets of the faithful, loyal and gullible. Sigh. It could all end in tears. Never mind.
  7. I can only offer you the P bit...
  8. That's more like a Buddie attitude, Callum! The best OK can do is get the team playing to its best and making the most of every opportunity. Occasional downers (and there will be more), like Accies doing their best and Aiberdeen-fitlike-fecked - is outwith the capacity of Saints players' and manager's (and fans') influence. If Saints keep doing like they've done the last couple of matches, they might still survive in this (admittedly shitey) league.
  9. Logically... this could be interpreted as you concealing a secret desire to be a sevco person. Tut!
  10. And that's precisely what Derek McInnes warned his players about Wednesday evening...
  11. The Compliance Officer has a look at it first. If she thinks there MAY be a case to answer, and if it's maybe something that the referee MAY have missed at the time, then she'll put it before a panel of three ex-referees. Then it needs all three to agree it should be worse before further action is taken. ETA: Logic dictates that Tansey should be fine. Then again this is the corrupt, secretive, mysterious Scottish Football Institutions that are involved here. Logic is oot the windae.
  12. Here, fishy, fishy..... aye, very good!
  13. I’ve now said several times that, I really like our big goalie, two caveats, though... 1. I am unsure if I qualify as being “older”. 2. I’ll reserve comparative judgement till I see how Hladky behaves in the final minutes of a European match when Saints are leading with no chance of cocking it up...
  14. I always admire enduring positivity like the above, but... You see, that’s precisely the Buddie problem. A win (no matter how slim or marginal in any shape or form) somehow transforms Buddies into hyper-optimistic blind believers in St Mirren’s capacity to sweep ALL further opposition aside. it disnae work like that for us Buddies. Our arses are being continually being bitten aff, whenever Saints nick a wee win. Of course, I hope Saints get a result on Saturday and that all kinds of keich drops on Accies and Dundee... what may have happened to me down the dreich decades of being a Buddie is that I now know how to get a “pleasure” out of relegation battles. there never is that singular magic result bringing a transformational moment to the season in which, with one leap, Saints are home free. there is constant attrition and - happily - enough times when there’s light at the end of the tunnel. And - as someone better than me once pointed out - THAT slim hope is the carrot we’re aiming for.
  15. Forgot to mention... i really enjoyed the clever thread title. Brendan Rogers Celtic...
  16. Probably it all comes from the genuine plans of Sir David Murray to build a Hover Pitch at Ibrox with HMRC's our his millions. Be a dawdle to float that down to the racecourse when required.
  17. On this thread alone... THREE nautical allusions! And he keeps complaining that he can't understand what people are getting at. What's the odds on his next post being, " I see no ships"...? Orcsoft fantasises that he's Nelson... or more likely Napoleon, going by his success rate at putting posters down.
  18. Naw... it was about 99.999% of hypocritical hate in this thread... https://mobile.twitter.com/plyons45/status/1100332368118890496
  19. I doubt Rodgers sees Gerrard and sevco as a threat to him and shellic. Gerrard currently has been funded enough to beat the diddy teams for the moment. The funding won’t continue. It’s not enough to buy in players like even shellic bought. And Gerrard is still an unproven novice. I’d think managing at Parkhead is as boring as any office job, cos there is so little challenge. With the downside, as evidenced by Stevie Clark, of having to deal with continuing west of Scotland sectarian poison. eta: just seen a stream of nasty invective about BR on a Celtic twitter a/c. apart from the double treble, 7 wins in 7 competitions and currently them being in line to win another treble, he’s done nothing for them. A charlatan, they never trusted him, he was never a shellic man. oh, and most importantly, he’s not Tommy Burns... though why they hadn’t noticed THAT a wee bit earlier, I dunno.
  20. Looks like shellic get £5m comp. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/feb/26/leicester-city-to-announce-no-1-target-brendan-rodgers-as-new-manager-celtic-football
  21. Naw....! tee hee! one assumes Wonga talks more than childhood dreams and youthful affiliations, then? i didn’t expect that. Thought he might hold on for Chelski...
  22. Are most of their tenets not based on Old Testement biblical practices? Inasmuch as you need to believe in a Supreme Being it could be considered religious. that belief wouldn’t exclude a member of ANY religion whatsoever, and so certainly shouldn’t be a basis for thinking its members would have a predisposition against any particular other religion from their own PERSONAL beliefs.
  23. He was pretty shy and unassuming... ...but hard. a model player, well worthy of recognition by the club and fans.
  24. You pick on IOBS’ English and yet you offer that mess? Are you describing a boxing match in Barshaw Pond? No wonder you overuse the crap!
