This is true tomas malec He's been away from Rosenburg for a couple of years and now seems to be a free agent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomáš_Malec_(footballer) Been no new gossip about him since the first rumour rumbled out. (sorry - problems making that link work. Google it yourself...)

Wow! Honesty and raw emotion about in the Commons from David Lammy, telling it like I see it.... Maybe he's the new Messiah that I am hoping for.

Brad Lyons https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/january/lyons-pens-permanent-deal/ With his new manager, who looks like he's seen a thing or two in management... (eg The Exit Door in Paisley)

From Eck....

I can't enumerate Celtic players cos I don't care enough about that team. I refer you back to the post already cited. FMcGWL responded to Ricky's suggestion of signing a nationality from a commercial pov. Which is rational, NOT ridiculous. He acknowledged Nakamura was ok. Suggested others weren't. You agree with that. You manage to find Ki Sung-Yueng who sold on for an reasonable sum. And you cite Du Wei - a relative flop - which is not disagreeing with FMcGWL's post. And so I still think you over reacted to his post.

I was there a couple of years ago. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186338-d731887-Reviews-Nusa_Dua-London_England.html I’m surprised that it’s still open. Food not great, but handy for the Theatre and cinemas....

Scotsman quits sport. not big news...
-
Not at all - “ridiculous”. FMcGWL was making a perfectly logical post about signings from a commercial POV, as posited by St Ricky’s original post. do keep up, Wendy!

Er... Ricky.... Ginsberg was born in the 1920s... and he’s died noo. He’d be near 100 now.... are you really ages with him?
-
We're due a decent Austrian or Cameroonian player. I thought Fellner was classy though he never hung around long enough for Saints to really benefit...

A left half from Llanfairpwyllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndribwllllantysiliogogogoch.

Here’s The Howl. https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/49303/howl look at the words and structure. i thought it was a witty (abstruse) comment, but I’m of an age to know Ginsberg. apologies for any Big Words.

I DO hope so, Ricky, but on the evidence of the past two to three years that'll be a huge change. I hope you're right and that eventually some politicians will do the right thing, do the job they're paid to do and sort out the mess. To my mind Brexit was always (and still IS) an Alice-in-Wonderland step too far. I thought the Brexiteers that May promoted to find their 'way' to their promised land were inept buffoons, but hoped they weren't as stupid as I thought. They were, they are: no new thinking, no great plans, nothing has been done to find a non-detrimental way forward. All their promises are broken, their ideas unfulfillable, the lies shown for what they were. The EU IS flawed. It isn't being governed for the good of the people within it - that needs changing. But the UK walking away from all the current, practical benefits with NO sign of ANYTHING to replace them, is shooting ourselves in both feet. The Brexiteers had their chance and have been patently inept in all areas. They've been unable to deliver their promised land. We desperately need sane, rational leadership. Article 50 will be postponed. There'll be another referendum, in due course.

There's no such thing as "big words" - small intellect was your problem, there. Ironically, I see that above you've deployed wee words like "rescinding" and "unilaterally" and "viable" - all in one wee sentence! Kinda cuts the ankles off your childish comment, doesn't it?
-
Wow! Really low fares, then?

The Ralph Wiggums of b+w army. (With acknowledgement to Cairter's… )
-
Alan Johnston's now free. Saints could be doing with a beefier backroom squad...
-
I think the plummet of the £ since the self-inflicted decision to hold a badly drawn referendum, (then to pay attention to its asinine result) HAS to be seen as actual self-harm by a government on its people rather opinion that it may be. Factually, everything is costing more, jobs have departed... what would you need as evidence?

Doakes didn't make a 'good point' - he asked a question that deserved to be answered with a dose of reality instead of bland arse-on-the fence platitudes, such as some seemingly obsessed with a phantom coin thrower instead of addressing the very real corruption and criminality that pervades the Scottish game.

Safety is already a mighty hill to climb for this season. Ensuring so many new players bond together and forge a swift understanding as a team is beginning to approach Everest proportions. Time is not on Oran's side. He must be a very cool poker player... I do hope that he is.

I am now disappointed....

"Jeff King joined St Mirren in June 2018 as he became Alan Stubbs' third signing as St Mirren manager. The winger came through the ranks at English side Altrincham and has spells at a number of non-league sides in England before joining Bolton Wanderers. He made his debut for the Trotters in September 2017 when he featured against West Ham United in the EFL Cup. The following stats shows the player’s St Mirren related stats across all competitive games in the following competitions; SPFL, Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup." He started once and subbed twice apparently.

I bother with them as I feel it's never a good idea to ignore cheating and dishonesty in sport which is what the Scottish Fitba authorities (with the connivance of a lot of the clubs) have been doing for some time. Currently sevco is able to ignore ALL pretensions of being a club that is being run in a financially and morally correct manner. This sport is financially doped. St Mirren will never prosper on this unlevel playing field. The The Rangers' (amazingly loyal) fans continue to pour money down the drain that leads into the pockets of serial spivs who give the club loans that must be regularly repaid, then loans are topped up again. There's no attempt to 'just' survive and grow on crowds of 40,000. The original Rangers went bust. This new The Rangers will inevitably follow follow suit.

The Holding company's Chairman, the glib and shameless liar, MUST have placed umpteen £millions into a UK bank by Jan 11... so I guess some of that could be diverted until Feb 4 when he must be confronted by the top exec/Judge of the Takeover panel. On the other hand there must be loadsa money pouring into the kitty from the non-Mike Ashley shirts being flogged off at The Barras... and other unofficial outlets. Even better... they could collect all the coins thrown by the St Ricky Phantom coin thrower... It's all Fantasy/corrupt fitba. I wasn't sorry to miss a Ne'erday game this year.
