  1. That was just to wash down the breakfast. Now on T
  2. Already in Wetherspoon's Motherwell. Enjoying an eggs balmoral and a pre match coffee. COYS
  3. This season anyone looking on the dark side would note. We have scored 28 Goals, Motherwell have scored 42 Motherwell have 47 points we have 25 Motherwell have won 6 of their last 7 home games. We have attempted fewer shots than any other team in the league and only 90 of them have been on target. It's going to be tough but Tomorrow is May the 4th. May the 4th be with us. Elvis and a few others should move away from the dark side. I'll be there with about 1800 other mad buds and we'll be a force behind the team. So Use the force boys COYS Sorry I Stayed in tonight and I was bored.
  4. Cup final again today and it's all about winning. No fake news, fake tans or fake saints. Oran is the real deal. 3 points and survival are the only realities that matter. See you all there. COYS
  5. That's only because I was working this morning and had to stop drinking at 2.59pm
  6. Any one remember this old Kenny Rodgers Number. YOU PICKED A FINE TIME TO LEAVE US JACK ROSS ALAN STUBBS SIGNINGS WERE COMPLETE UTTER DROSS WE'VE HAD SOME SAD TIMES, LIVED THROUGH SOME BAD TIMES BUT ORAN HAS SHOWN WHO'S THE BOSS SO BYE JACK, YOU WERE NO GREAT LOSS.
  7. What an enjoyable day out. A few beers with Buds in a beer garden followed by a decent fair priced Lunch in The Almondvale suite and then winning the footie in the sunshine. Fans were brill, as usual but we seem to be getting better and better. New songs being composed and performed every week, constant singing and amazing atmosphere. When Livi scored the tempo didn’t drop. If anything, it got louder. Yes we have “Ethan, Nazon and McGinn” but the fans don’t half make a din. Definite 12th man. The finer points of the game and the performances of various players has been discussed but let’s be honest the positives are there for all to see and Oran Kearney looks like he could lead HIS Black and White Army to Safety in another great escape. Four games to go and every one a cup Final. Really looking forward to each and every one of these Games. This buds, is Football and I'm smiling on a Sunday morning. COYS…….
  8. Going to be a tough one today but you just got to believe. Let's not kid ourselves every game is a cup final now. The saints support at Hamilton was amazing. 1700 buds. It'll be another top crowd today. See you all there BUDS "WE'LL GO WHEREVER ST MIRREN GO."
  9. It's usually a conscious decision to be a c**t so cunts are fair game. Of course I personally wouldn't call anyone a c**t.
  10. Almost 3 days since I had a pint. On my way to Hamilton to rectify that. See you all there. COYS
  11. I'm not saying Hamilton are a shambles or that their communication strategy is flawed but if the last time is anything to go by then do the opposite of what the Stewards tell you and you will be fine. (Audio/volume needed) Ok it was shambolic. Happy memories anyone Hamilton Shambles.mp4
  12. For Kemp’s idea to work a lot of effort would be needed by the club and the fans to reach a solution here and planning should start as soon as we avoid relegation. Some sort of incentive scheme should be used to encourage Saints fans. Kemps idea could work with proper preparation. Six family days to promote solidarity between the club and the fans might succeed. The club supply free tickets to groups who qualify. An incentive scheme for groups to buy tickets for other games not including the old firm which qualify for free tickets to the old firm games. We put on all sort of entertainment, face painters, Stalls, Panda’s events or whatever it takes to make it more than just a match. We promote everything on a family theme and tell the world in a subtle way, bigotry, violence etc is not acceptable. Reward season ticket holders and regular attenders in some way to fill the other stands too. Make it a trial for one season. If it works and we fill all stands it stays. If we can’t fill them the club can revert to their old ways. The key to success would be planning, constructive thinking, imagination and desire. Easier said than done but who knows
  13. Its an idea and why not try and turn the whole thing around. Not sure how it works in the Family stand, if you can sit anywhere, but We would have to do something about allocated seats in the other two stands to make this work.
  14. I get this point too. There is nothing worse than feeling short changed. That's when customers of any business think with their feet. The problem for the board is how do you keep the fans happy and keep the money coming in. Free tickets fill stands but even in Non old firm games the fans are fickle. I cite the Dundee Utd cup game as an example where giving freebies all season got little return as the Family stand was deserted that day. Its a tough one.
  15. This is a totally emotive topic which has two main arguments. I get them both. The first argument is that giving an extra stand gives them an advantage on the night. Ideally, we want this stand filled with St Mirren fans cheering on our team and maximising the home advantage. In an ideal world everyone, including IOBS, wants this. Another strand to this argument is that giving the old firm two stands makes it dangerous to attend because they are hooligans, scum bigots or whatever. Safety is the issue and our fans should come before revenue. The final strand of this is that by denying our young supporters’ access to these games they will lose interest in the club and fade away affecting the long-term future of the club. Together these three sound sensible but doing this in a way that generates income is challenging. The people in support of the maximise income stance recognise this and are not arguing against any of the above but are being pragmatic. They are not pro-OLD FIRM They understand the club needs money to survive and support maximising income because we cannot fill the stands ourselves. If there was an alternative which could bring in the same revenue and fill the stands with Saints fans, they would be right behind it. If there were additional income streams which meant the extra money the old firm brought could be offset, they would no doubt accept that and settle for 3 half full stands to deny the Old Firm advantage. Emotions run high and fans staying away may have a valid point to make but also deplete club income and possibly reinforce the idea the Old Firm are the more profitable option. Both sets of fans have strong beliefs, but I think we all have the interest of the club at heart. Slagging off IOBS and making Glib remarks about his literacy, business skills and intelligence from behind your keyboards is like throwing flashbangs at an unsuspecting goalie from the safety of a crowd of scumbags. Its not big and it’s not clever. Both arguments have Pros and Cons. It may be harder to resolve this one than Brexit.
  16. I was given the same spiel yesterday . The way she was talking it sounded like St Mirren hadn't been given that many tickets. If we did have 2000 I don''t think we would sell them . EDIT - JUST READ FTOF's POST ABOVE AFTER I POSTED THIS. The ticket office woman was obviously right. Bought them over the phone. picking them up Wednesday. Saved the postage (and the admin fee when you buy on line which is nothing short of a scam.) Now Hamilton tickets are sorted l can concentrate on Wednesday.
  17. There's a guy sits at the front of the W4 in his wheelchair. Hail, rain, sleet or snow he is there in his T shirt. He's been drowned, frozen and blown tae fack but he never leaves before the end and he never wears a coat. Just the T shirt. He is one tough dude but I would imagine he might be up for a roof line extension too.
  18. Player of the SEASON. Having been to just about every game this season, the player who most consistently did a job for us was Paul McGInn. Hladky is undoubtedly a class act and Popescou has been immense since his arrival but over the whole season I reckon Paul McGinn should be a contender.
  19. Sunderland till I die. (Stick with us its relevant honest) OK cards on the table. I was a massive JR fan, but I felt short changed and a little pissed when he left in the manner he did. That aside it’s the guys job and the only loyal section of any football team are the fans, so it was probably a no brainer for Jack and that was that. I didn’t instantly become a Sunderland fan like a few of our number, but I didn’t become anti-Sunderland or anti-Jack either I was just disappointed and a bit deflated after he left. I was at a loose end on Thursday night and started watching Sunderland till I die. Fecking Netflix struck gold with Sunderland. Either they are the world’s greatest match fixers or have the midas touch. No one could ever have expected Sunderland to get relegated from the Championship straight after they had come down from the premier. It made a nice little fly on the wall drama and as a fan who has never played football at any level it gave me a bit of an insight into how players, managers, staff, owners and employees feel about their jobs. The stars of the show are without a doubt the fans. I really felt for them having to suffer defeat after defeat and watch their team go down again. A bit like us this season, it was heart breaking. I don’t do much TV, but I’ll be tuning in for season 2 when it comes along. Stewart Donald comes across as a genuine guy, but I’m not sure about his side kick. Having watched the series I now have a wee bit of a soft spot for the Black Cats fans and on Sunday I’ll get my Saints top on and head for my local, which incidentally is run by a Sunderland fan, and give his team some moral support for their cup-final. I wish the black cats well and hope their fans enjoy the day. That’s the plan for Sunday. Today I’ll concentrate on my own team and our plight. I'm up for this game. Feck this relegation pish. Don't forget guys n gals we're the stars of this show. The players are there working for us. COYS let’s get out there in numbers and get into this Dundee mob. We have a game of Cup Final proportions today SMTID.
  20. Near an age of obscurity when I should really be knocking all these young whipper snappers of the modern era and reminiscing over those halcyon days when our generation were all angels. I have to say I thought the young team were outstanding at Perth. Their support was unfaltering throughout the match. I do have my reservations about the way the authorities dealt with some of the more mature members of our support. I was sitting well in front of the North Bank and therefore wasn't watching what was going on behind me but a sudden influx of stewards and police rushing up the stairs attracted my attention. I'm not sure what encouraged such a rapid response but after much discussion between stewards, police and fans in the North Bank the incident fizzled out and the high vis jackets all faded back to where ever they had come from. Judging by their rapid deployment and sheer numbers I assume some massive security or safety threat must have presented itself but I am still in the dark as to what danger I was in or how my safety was enhanced by their actions. My enjoyment of the spectacle I had paid to watch was disrupted but to be fair how any of us could have enjoyed that performance is up for debate. An old guy. I use that term loosely, as he was probably ages with myself, was standing near one of the exits below me. His attention had also been attracted by the stewarding activities around our vociferous young choir and he joined in one of their melodies with great gusto bounced twice and rose his arms in the air to give them some encouragement. With out a word of warning the head steward orchestrated his removal from the ground. It is entirely possible that this man had committed some heinous offence prior to attracting my attention but he looked harmless and I could see nothing about his actions which caused alarm, danger or even annoyance to any other spectators. Maybe once again I had been saved from impending disaster because of swift stewarding action and the guy who had spent all that money not just to enter the ground but to travel all the way from Paisley to be entertained at a sporting event deserved to be short changed and thrown out on his ear miles from home long before the game ended. There is a big discussion ongoing about Football fans being criminalised for being Football fans and whilst I agree instances of misbehaviour have to be stamped out sometimes I wonder if fans might have a point. The stewards at Perth may have been acting in our best interests but to the casual observer it looked like overreaction, overkill and a horrendous abuse of the power they have been given to ensure our safety. No doubt I'm mistaken. It happens every other week. They must know what they are doing.
  21. I read somewhere that Volvo plan to introduce technology which will detect if you're drunk and divert your car to the nearest parking space if you are. I hope Ford are delivering similar technology which will detect if you're sober and drive you to the nearest pub. On the train to Perth. Wonder why COYS
  22. I won't be missing the victory Bud. A squad of us forming the vanguard of the BAWA and meeting in Perth at 2pm. Got Hotel booked. Not too worried about sunburn now but a wee bit concerned about ma liver. COYS.
  23. Whilst I did find this mildly amusing. Pish poor excuse. COYS
