Players are complacent, no need to be arsed as they will play each week with no competition.
Unless he addresses this we are in trouble but he would have to be very stupid not to see that what's been shown so far in pre-season is not good enough. If he thinks it is, doesn't bring in quality, then he won't be there very long but I think he will do something in the next couple of days

Results like this just ensure Danny signs some players. Expecting some news over next few days that will ease the nerves.

We signed 2 Cowdenbeath players that summer. One of them was Darren McGregor who was an outstanding success that season. The other, Wardlaw, was arguably substandard but did a decent job.
Other signings that summer included Paul McGowan, Craig Samson, Marc McAusland, Jure Travner and David Van Zanten. All successful signings surely? Indeed, a couple were spectactular successes.
Sean Lynch was substandard, accepted while Paddy Cregg did an okay job and is now with another SPL side higher up the league than us.
I don't actually think the signings made that summer were as bad as some folk think...

'gutted' to be missing the game is a huge understatement - but being able to watch it from the US will help if i can, bbc website text commentary just doesnt cut it and cant get bbc....any sites anyone else overseas uses?

I dont think anyone ever buys a lottery ticket with huge confidence they will score the jackpot, but they still buy them in most cases its worth £1 investment for the 5 minute day dream about how I would spend the cash.
I am signed up for this on a similar rational, its not a fantastic investment opportunity nor does it tick every single box on what is best for the club. But for the price of 45 mintues of football or a few pints per month its worth a punt without a doubt. We have been up for sale, in a great financial position for a long time now, no one wants to buy us. Its a sorry state of affairs if we the fans don't event want to buy the club.
Its a bit of a risk but its one worth taking in my view with or without any assurances that we will all have a say in how the clubs run.

It looks as though it is going to be a big ask to meet the required sign-ups by Friday.
I can understand that people have reservations, much as I have always had, but I come back to something our adopted Thistle-supporting Buddie, Dave.J., posted a few days ago about taking a punt.
For me, this is taking a punt. I don't believe that there is any sinister intent behind this final push to have the CiC purchase the majority shareholding. I have no reason to be unduly suspicious about the motives of the key players, and am willing to commit a relatively modest monthly outgoing in order to be seen to be doing my bit in terms of supporting some form of fan ownership of the club (however imperfect it might be). I'm not at all sure if the alternative is in any way preferable, whatever that might be.
It'll be a pity if it falls through. I've been pretty sceptical from day one, TBH, but something tells me that this could well be the only chance we'll ever have in terms of moving the club in this direction - the direction that is, for me, the only viable future for clubs like St Mirren. If we don't grasp the opportunity now, I reckon it will have passed us by, and I'd rather be in a position to say that I at least took a punt when the opportunity arose.

Of all the footballers I would never ever like to see in a Saints shirt... O'Conner and Grifiths would be right up there... Griffiths especially - disgusting human being and a footballer who thinks he is far better than he actually is! There is a reason Hibs finished 11th and that has a helluva lot to do with those two and their inability to put the ball in the back of the net! No thankyou!!
