Back on topic. I think a lot of people will struggle to have a strong opinion on who should be voted onto the board. I'd like to see the current SMISA board and possibly GLS come make the decision between them. I'd trust this decision initially. After their 2 years are up the SMISA members vote based on performance to re-elect or nominate a fresh board member. I love the fact we get a say but I would struggle to vote on someone based on a CV. SMISA board have done a decent job so far, I'd trust them to put the right man in the chair.

Not sure, haven't heard that but think it would be worth considering.

I don't think it's a route we should go down IMHO, plenty of great fans over the years who are sadly no longer with us. We shouldn't single out individuals who are no longer with us, we're all in the buddies family and we've all lost someone who we consider great fans. Where do we stop? Guys like Tam McGarry and Toshie should definitely be remembered in some way though. A small memorial garden or something similar could be created to remember all fans who we've lost over the years. we've plenty of room and would brighten the place up. Suppose the brick kinda does that just now?

Best of luck Jack, hope it really works out well Risky appointment, but who wouldn't be? No matter the outcome of this season, even if it ends in relegation I'd give him the entire next season to see what happens. He's working with a squad he didn't build and also has to deal with the tactics, training methods and mentality installed by Rae, this will take time to change. Really hope it works out well.

Not for booing the European team or only cheering the American team but for the individual shouts that are heard in the lead up to and after shots. Gus? If GLS thinks that 4th spot is an impossible task with the current squad and a new gaffer then Gus would be a good appointment til the end of the season. I'd be confident of turning things round enough with him to keep us in the division. If he believes the right gaffer can still achieve a 4th place finish then I'd be looking elsewhere.

Never nice to hear someone has lost their job but they weren't up to the task and we're taking us backwards. Unfortunately I don't believe there was any chance of them rescuing our season and we were (and still are) in real danger of relegation. We need someone to come in and turn things round quickly as we have an extremely tough run of league games against Falkirk, Hibs, Dundee United and Morton around the corner. First up is Dunfermline which we can't afford to lose and looking at the following games we probably need to win. First big decision by GLS and the right one IMO Second decision is the appointment which we need to nail.

Absolutely. Unfortunately we have a small number of fans who would never accept Rae because of his past or his boyhood team. When leaving Ayr there were a couple of guys repeatedly shouting for him to "get tae f**k Rae ya orange bastard" and "dirty *** bastard" as the made their way to the exit. Poor show.

I don't think we can compare SMISA and The Fans Council. They have a different set of responsibilities but ultimately they both set out to do the best they can for the club and the fans. Both groups should be applauded and we should be thankful to the individuals who give up their own time for no personal reward. I've given the fans council a bit of stick but I'm genuinely thankful for what they've done.

I'm not having a go at you mate but why bother correcting someone then say you can't be bothered telling the real reason? You've taken some over the top stick on here mate but IMHO this type of thing just fuels the frustrations of fans. The fans council have done some wonderful things but there's still the masonic clique feel about it. You know the real reason why the big screen isn't used but it's a secret..... At your next meeting could you ask for the minutes to be updated online? It's been pointed out on here by several forum users but seems to go ignored. Small things like this would help improve opinions of the council in my opinion (not that it's important).

Why bother getting involved in dialogue then? Not being funny but if you can't be bothered explaining then why bother correcting someone in the first place?

Assuming this is not a wind up (I know, I'm gullible). I would say that Jeroen Tesselaar would have to be a great shout. Left sided defender is what we're crying out for.....
