  1. Good for him, hopefully he gets a move to a higher level soon then. Hate seeing him in a Hibs shirt.
  2. Have the Hibs fans taken to Mallan? Last I saw he was getting the blame for most of their problems. (Turned out to be Neil Lennon to blame)
  3. Would fit in well at Dundee United with Paul McMullan
  4. Discoland lyrics would need to change first
  5. Lewis is certainly not "just a Scottish Championship player." He would already be able to have an impact on the Scottish Premier, and has just as much potential as John McGinn. Unfortunately, this is the risk if you go and sign with Celtic or Rangers. You stop playing every week, stop developing, and are then farmed out to a team on loan where it may or may not work for you. Sunderland seem to have serious problems in attack, I'd imagine Morgan is being made in to something of scapegoat due to his ties to the manager & his nationality. Bottom line however; it clearly hasn't worked for him. If players that age have belief in their own ability then they need to avoid the Glasgow bigots like the plague.
  6. I think it is absolutely astounding that after the ticket website fiasco of last week we have just charged into a new season with interstadia without even a comment on it. Even a "Sorry about the problems with Interstadia. We are locked in a contract for another year we can't get out of - rest assured they will be gone as soon as the contract is up" would be better than just pretending this problem doesn't exist. Have I missed a statement from the club on this? It is simply incredible for an organisation to behave in this way.
  7. This should be our message. I'd rather we try and keep the existence of Vaclav quiet for another 6 months at least.
  8. He will do very well. Great manager, knows the league, and Dundee are getting the appointment done early to start rebuilding. I'm sure they will be operating on a budget that is more than competitive for the league. Looks like another season in the Championship for Dundee United!
  9. Well I certainly hope the poor man hasn't developed a drinking problem that is going to cost him his "senior" sports reporter title.
  10. All well and good but your membership of this website rather blows a hole in that theory Twitter is just a means of communication like any other. There's good stuff & bad stuff on there, just as printing presses have been putting out a mix of quality & shite for hundreds of years.
  11. We surely have enough coaches, and I don't think we can rely on Anton to play next season at this level. All money should be going in to the squad, next season is a chance to kick on and aim for 5th to 8th position and the prize money that goes with that. We really need to make some serious improvements to the squad to do that though.
  12. 4th spot out of 10 getting involved in a playoff is pushing it, 5th is taking the piss. I think it works very well as it is. Only possible change I would make is 10th & 11th going in the playoff against 2nd and 3rd. Similarly 8th & 9th in the Championship vs 2nd & 3rd from League 1.
  13. To be fair, Hladky, Muzek, Popescu and Duckens all sounded like the usual made-up flareybob pish in the last transfer window. The man was finally vindicated! I see LPM laughing at this post. Wonder if he finds it less credible than "Irish league insider" twitter account? Or this is different because it isn't an attempt to destablise the team...
  14. If there is more John McGinn money coming in soon then this is the first place it should be invested.
  15. At a club of our size players and managers will move on to bigger things. John's transfer to Hibs in the end worked out very well for us. In fact, the sell on to Aston Villa now makes him the biggest transfer fee we have ever received. His agent was doing what was needed to force the move, it could have been handled better but on the other hand issues around the insurance payment after John got a spear through this leg could also have been handled better from the clubs side. John has even come back and sat in the stand home and away supporting us & his brothers. Last time I saw him was at Tynecastle earlier this season sat in with the St Mirren fans. You can either enjoy and celebrate the progress of guys like McGinn, McLean, and Jack Ross....or you can be bitter and twisted about how they left, transfer fees received, how many clubs they talked to etc. It is no surprise you would choose the latter, the majority of us though try to be a bit more positive about things and will enjoy seeing Paul Dummett, John McGinn and Kenny McLean up against the best players in the world next season and hoping the likes of Kyle McAllister, Stevie Mallan and Kyle Magennis can kick on with their careers and join them up there too one day.
  16. An utterly bizarre twitter meltdown from Tom English as he seems to have taken huge offence to our celebrations at securing our place in next seasons Premiership. He started on Sunday.... And then for no reason at all brought it all up again on Monday.... Got in an argument with Stewart Gilmour over it... And then bizarrely showed himself up as being so disinterested in life outside the Old Firm (or drunk) that he replied to the official club account by calling it "Stewart", clearly thinking that Stewart Gilmour is still chairman I think it really does highlight how little these "senior sports reporters" like English and Ewan Murray understand or care about how it is to support a team outside of the biggest five clubs which they dedicate 99.9% of their reporting to. I actually used to quite like the guy but talking away to this imaginary "Stewart" on our official club twitter account when SG hasn't been involved in the club for years just shows how disinterested, out of touch and self-important these guys become. Maybe he is trying to rebrand himself as the Piers Morgan of Scottish football in an attempt to remain relevant. Cringeworthy behaviour whatever is going on. It took our own young Kyle Gunn to show him there remain some reporters out there with perspective and maturity. Well done Kyle... Div also got his point across, albeit with a little less maturity
  17. Yep, there was constant shirt pulling going on from United as well that he was completely happy to let them away with.
  18. I think the opposite has been proven and that is why it is being adopted by all the major leagues. I don't think if we had been relegated we would be sat here happily waiting for next seasons playoff for "things to even themselves out". The technology can help curb the power of a single referee who has lost the plot -something Scottish football could certainly benefit from.
  19. Don't accept a penny under 1m for Vaclav. Anyway, somebody go wake up Flareybob. Silly season is about to kick off...

Good to hear "We've got McGinn" going round Wembley!
  21. Hopefully those in the crowd are enjoying it as well. Would be great if we could have the stadium full as it has been lately for every game next season. The atmosphere has been tremendous lately - something I never thought I would say a few years ago when the place was like a morgue!
  22. Figure I saw quoted was 150k. Where did you see 300?
