Take the huff? You launched a bitter and personal attack on Fraz using innuendo and unsubstantiated allegations. However you clearly think that is funny.
Nobody has done more fo disharmony and in-fighting on this board than you

this is my big concern, the shareholding is never worth that kind of money. it's not even worth the residue of debt once the grants are in place, and what happens if all of that money is not forthcoming?
I reckon that the concept of only 300 members required is very precarious. If we have two rotten seasons on the park how many will say "stuff it". Quite a feckin few in my opinion.
And as for the school of thought that says we will be in exactly the same position if the CIC fails as we are in now, let me just point out that an administrator will be mostly concerned with getting the best deal for the major creditors and wont care a jot about the character of any bidders once the colour of their money is seen.
If the intial investment was at the market rate then I'd say that would be around £500,000 well spent and where do i sign, but 1.2 mil? I just dont see it working.

Those who have studied the art and science of communication generally agree that if a message is not accurately received then it is usually the fault of the sender rather than the recipient.
Stop lambasting people who dont support it, if the CIC cant get their message across then they need to work harder.
It's simply not wise to proceed with the minimum amount of members if the majority remain unconvinced.

A man had just settled into his seat next to the window on the plane when another man sat down in the aisle seat and put his black Labrador Retriever in the middle seat next to the man.
The first man looked very quizzically at the dog and asked why the dog was allowed on the plane.
The second man explained that he was from the Police Drugs Enforcement Agency
and that the dog was a 'sniffing dog'.
'His name is Sniffer and he's the best there is. I'll show you once we get airborne, when I put him to work.'
The plane took off, and once it had levelled out, the Policeman said, 'Watch this.'
    He told Sniffer to 'search'.
Sniffer jumped down, walked along the aisle, and finally sat very purposefully next to a woman for several seconds. Sniffer then returned to his seat and put one paw on the policeman's arm.
The Policeman said, 'Good boy', and he turned to the man and said, 'That woman is in possession of marijuana, I'm making a note of her seat number and the authorities will apprehend her when we land.
'Gee, that's pretty good,' replied the first man.
Once again, the Policeman sent Sniffer to search the aisles.
The Lab sniffed about, sat down beside a man for a few seconds, returned to its seat,
and this time he placed two paws on the agent's arm.
The Policeman said, 'That man is carrying cocaine, so again, I'm making a note of his seat number for the police.'
'I like it !' said his seat mate..
The Policeman then told Sniffer to 'search' again.
Sniffer walked up and down the aisles for a little while, sat down for a moment, and then came racing back to the agent, jumped into the middle seat and proceeded to shit all over the place.
The first man was really disgusted by this behaviour and couldn't figure out how or why a well-trained dog would behave like that, so he asked the Policeman, 'What's going on?'
The Policeman nervously replied, 'He's just found a bomb.'

    In other businesses
Pre-paid tickets get you cheaper better train seats
pre-paid holidays get you discounts and better choice
season tickets get you cheap bus travel
In a football sense, a season ticket makes sense because
All the games will be played
you get a guaranteed viewpoint from your chosen seat with your mates (assuming you have any)
you get a guaranteed discount and dont have to rely on us being consistently crap so that we cop for cheaper tickets in relegation showdowns
as for not knowing the quality of the product in advance, I roll up most weeks and pay on the day knowing full well we are likely to be rank.
Your post makes so little sense that I am led to suspect that you and Sid really are one and the same

i didnt need to work anything out, it's speculation based upon the fact that there is no statement from 10000 hours as to what the expected conversion ratio will be.
Not all pledges will convert, that is a fact.

You want him to pipe down , or what?
The hysteria coming from the zealously pro-CIC community is now developing into implied threats. this is turning into the richard atkinson personality cult and the members need to be referred to by a collective name that suits their hysteria. You will henceforth be known as Dickophiles.
This is meant to be a debate, Yul posted some contentious points in a humorous style and animal has contiuned to make serious and important points. I dont see a lot of what they ask being answered by 10000 hours people, just a playground swarm of Dickophiles rounding on anyone that questions the validity of the whole thing. Your all so desperate to protect your "close to the action" status that you are happy for the potential prospect of the club being ruined to not be questioned.
In theory, the CIC seems a reasonable idea to me, however the vehicle that they want to use does not seem intended for the running of a multi-million pound enterprise and the grants, loans etc are not yet certain to materialise.
    10000 hours, i have 2 questions.
1 if anyone signs on as a member, falls on hard times and defaults on their £120 pa commitment, will you then call on credit management companies to take action and recover the funds owed?
2 If the model fails to deliver the necessary income required to pay off the loans, then what does "going back to the funders" really mean? Would that be a request for more voluntary contributions or would the members be legally liable for a portion of the debt?
Come to think of it, there is a third question.
3 If public funds are sought then these will be in the gift of governmental and non-governmental organisations, which are usually headed up by former politicians, civil-servants etc. What happens when we default on the payments ( i think this is almost certain to happen)? Am i right in thinking that the creditors can then take ownership of the shares and then try to sell them off to recoup their outlay?
    Answers, please.

I think actions speak louder than words and the action of setting up provan sports to endorse 10000 hours (what a posey title) then ditching the company is a clear indication of the character of the persons seeking to take control of the club.
I'd advocate resistance, but it's probably already too late.

Alan Provan's endorsement of the CIC is in the information booklet, perhaps the new owners did tell him he was unlikely to win the new contract when they asked for this endorsement.
    perhaps.
JD sports also endorsed the project and subsequently won the contract.
wan in, wan out, as they say.
PS are JD sports lined up as a corporate member of the CIC?
