  12. If you deem the road conditions to be treacherous, don't get in your f*cking car and drive then. Or do you need to check with a football referee first ? ????
  13. Phew...seems to be quoting in past tense ! http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35320816
  14. BBC report quotes Jim McIntyre as saying he needs hip surgery ???
  15. Did Tobin (or whatever name he was using) reside in Paisley at some point, 80's mibbe ? Reason I'm asking, early mid 80's as a teenager I had a weekend job selling macaroon/tablet bars door to door, on Gordon St there was a wierd guy who'd answer the door in a daft looking 70's 'ruffed collar' white shirt with big flouncey cuffs, white hair, Smashey & Nicey bouffant style and extremely camp, would always "invite you in", also locally known by the weans as 'tan man' as could often be seen sun bathing in a pair of speedos on the various benches around the old concrete gardens outside the cooncil HQ at Cotton St. I recall thinking he was a dodgy, lurid character. And when the Angelika Kluk murder happened years later and 'Tobin's' image began circulating, I instantly recognised the face as being very familiar. Could have just been a close friend of Dorothy I suppose...

  17. This was BBC 6 Music mind ye, say the guy had been born on 16th May 1967 ?
  18. Was in Morrisons this morning, every 2nd song over the tannoy was a Bowie classic and they only made 'now on aisle 12' sales announcements during the in-between songs. Nice touch I thought...
  19. I must admit I nearly boaked when I heard that yesterday, then again when she read out an e-mail (choked with emotion) from someone who claimed to be "a massive Bowie fan since 2002"
  20. Funnily enough I was jamming the guitar parts of 'The Man Who Sold the World' the other day, arguably my favourite Bowie tune. Like many here, I was probably more of a 'greatest hits' kind of a Bowie fan, only owning the 'Man who...' and Hunky Dory albums outside that. My old gran used to love Space Oddity, and may she be pouring the unfortunate Mr Jones a cup of tea and cutting him a slice of her Donegal soda bread in the celestial back stage club tonight...
  21. I'm just over I reckon, a big improvement on my younger years when the capacity to get 'well over' was more likely. Nowadays a couple of pints after work is about my level. Can't really do the pint after pint routine anymore. If I have four beers, I'm usually struggling and wanting to go home, ah the joys of middle age... Righto, where's my cocoa ? ????
