Never going to make the pantheon of Saints legends but would have been fine if idiot managers hadn't tried to make him something he could never be. He's a cup winner and some time captain in one of the most successful periods in our history and I wish him every success. (Couldn't be arsed wading through the character assassinations after glancing at the first page of this thread so apologies if this is covered elsewhere - is the Scandanavian transfer window open? No way SFA will overturn both McManus's card from today and McLean's from Thursday, thereby admitting their golden boy is making an arse of things. I'd expect both to now be upheld. Haven't missed first cup round we've been involved in for years. Can't be arsed making the effort to get to Paisley this time. I'll take my boy to watch my local team instead - they give a shit.

Genuine question for any legal minds out there - at what point can TC be sacked for non-performance without the need for compensation? If I missed my work target every week I would be bagged and laughed out of a tribunal. I would at the very least expect someone to have had a word about not meeting expectations and offering me "extra training". Continued poor performance would result in a warning, then the tin tack if it doesn't improve. That's a matter if weeks at my work - why is it different for football?

Wasn't there yesterday and just caught up with highlights from Alba - was expecting us to be rank going by comments I'd read. Thought we looked much, much better than County, dominated midfield and with a confident striker up front would have won comfortably. In terms of attempts on goal, possession and corners the stats back that up too. Admittedly it's easier to see the positives when you've not parted with cash to sit in the pissing rain watching a draw against a truly terrible team but I'm not overly concerned about relegation at the moment.

Couldn't do any more today other than the obvious missing element. We were much better than Dundee. As long as we don't lose confidence, goals will come and I'm surre we'll be fine.

First one was stupid but not deliberate. He will be banned for it though because it's Jim. The 2nd was a complete accident and Derek Adams should be censured for his reaction and his post match comments. There IS a witch-hunt for Jim just now and I fear for his career. You can see how exasperated he is with his fellow 'professionals' trying to get him sent off. He can't play his proper game and you wonder who'll offer him a contract in the summer in these circumstances.

Ha ha - win the next 2 games? We've won 2 games in a row 5 times since Danny took over. What possible reason would anyone think we can do it with the state we're in just now? Bonkers levels of optimism. (We've won 3 in a row once - and never in the league - and never had a better run than that. Danny must stay)

Having calmed down and cheered up thanks to other results, I just want to add how class McGinn was - one pass in the first half in particular would've had the pundits creaming themselves if a Gerrard or Xavi had done it. Thought McLean was very good too and the defence looked relatively solid compared to last week's debacle. DD will come good when he's fit. Full squad to pick from next week against a team in crisis - no excuses

Fair enough taking McGowan off but for another striker? When Thommo was shot and DD was off the pace already? We ceded the midfield space and Aberdeen took total control. It was a ridiculous tactical decision.
