all very interesting. When I was at a game V Dumbarton around that time at Boghead, I think we lost 4-2 after leading, Charnley missed a penalty for us I think....anybody else remember that or the season? Likely I could find it in my own diary.

I thought the first red card to the St Johnstone defender was ridiculous. No way should players be getting sent off for that. These kind of decisions ruin games for the spectators. But the first St J penalty award....very harsh as it looked, and was, it was not given for the slight touch in the attempted tackle, outside the box, it was given for the pull of the shirt which was IN the box. If defenders don't want to give away penalties then they should not tug players back by the shirt. It was a foul and a penalty....harsh but the ref should not be castigated for making the correct decision. The second penalty awarded though was plain wrong, especially comparing it with the one we got away with at the death against Hibs. And the double red card for Stevenson and Mannus? if you don't want a red card just don't get involved in a mass brawl and bang heads with an opposition player........seemples. Hope Danny has fully instructed our players not to get involved in such nonsense.

Thommo can say plenty without saying anything that will get him in to trouble. Even a wee shake of the head and right angry eyes when it is mentioned, maybe even a wee point and shake of a finger. Put away the Mr Nice Guy Thommo for 5 minutes. We cant let this go on. Thommo wont let us down.

absolutely Hambud. It really is ridiculous and a disgrace how Jim is being treated by the media, authorities and other managers. I honestly think Jim, Danny and St Mirren are seen as soft touches. No way would the captain of certain other clubs be treated like that. That booking yesterday was nonsense and for the highlights to put the spotlight on it was sinister and wicked. FFS, if they did that to Scott Brown Neil Lennon would have been spitting feathers all over every media outlet. We really need to Danny to speak up and speak up now....loud and clear. No holds barred. And we could do with someone on Sportscene tonight to defend Jim also when they, inevitably, flag it up.

very disappointing yesterday if a bit predictable. I imagine we have enough about us to avoid 11th spot and hazardous play off. But why the f**k were we wearing yellow against St Johnstone? for no reason. Where is the pride in the famous black and white stripes? That would be a downer to players and supporters before the game even started. yes yes....I know that is not the reason for poor performance and defeat....but, B&W please.

this is important. A lot hinges on it. Paul McGowan available to play with the case off his mind will make a huge difference to St Mirren. Paul McGowan unavailable to play for any length of time.....not good for us at all.

that's not so bad a result with Kilmarnock, Ross County and Thistle all losing. but it does seem, from those there, that we didn't perform in th second half.

aye aye, watched the highlihts again there and noticed Goodwin using his strength, experience and cunning stopping Cifki getting on to the rebound when Kello spilled his shot. Thankgoodness Goodwin was playing or it would have been 2-2 at half time. at 1m 40secs or so.

that video is pretty damning I must say. He could easily have been off for that and quite possibly will yet get a ban for it. That sort of stuff has to stop. But at the same time Danny needs to speak up for him somehow. If he is in the team for the Hearts game you can be sure the same thing will happen with him being targeted....his is booked before the game even starts.

great reading all the comments on today's game. Wish I had been there. I cant believe the last time we beat Dundee Utd at home as that mad midweek evening game in 2001. I remember it well. My friends Donald and Sandy came to watch it here with me and how they laughed as I tore off my Saints top and pulled open the window and threw it out, breaking my glasses in the process! when Gillies scored the winner I went nuts if truth be told! Cant quite recall if the winner was the penalty or the great finish from McPhee's nod down. Anyway, we are a better team now than then for sure and days like today make it all worth while. Better beat Hearts on Sunday though....jeest to be on the safe side!
