I agree, Livingston did likewise a few weeks ago with regards to time wasting. It's not nice to see and maybe something that the officials need to take action on? There are teams (like Falkirk) that are good at it and Houston has his players pushing the threshold of what is FairPlay and what constitutes cheating. The ten minutes you mentioned, correct. However, after going a goal up Falkirk did everything in the book to ensure they frustrated Saints and not to let us back into the game. I believe that backfired on them as they were on top and could have killed the game in the opening twenty minutes, if they had focused on their game rather than stopping us play.

Sutton went down outside the Falkirk box to win a free kick in the second half, no one touched him. I don't see anything about that being mentioned. It happens in every game and with every team.

Can you give examples of his errors during the Falkirk game?

I don't recall Loy or Austin taking a dive today. Hippolyte did for sure, that's part of his game unfortunately.

Just watched JR's post match interview on YouTube, then watched this one from Peter Houston. Not sure what game he was at but insists Falkirk should have been four up?

Yeah, witnessed that myself from the South stand. I don't know if words were exchanged between Loy and the supporters but there were two supporters who were very irate to say the least. Very disappointing to see that verbal tirade aimed especially at an ex Saints player.

I can't argue with that, but I'm only concerned about Saints fans. What they (I'm not using the "we" because it's a minority) seem to forget is that we the collective as supporters of St Mirren FC are all ambassadors for the club, and should behave accordingly whether it's at home or away games and on route. Just my personal opinion.

I was in Glasgow last Saturday with my daughter when i heard some Saints fans heading to the game giving it plenty. Very embarrassing to be honest as instead of singing songs about St Mirren, it was all about fu*k the old firm. So yes, every club has its share of idiots, St Mirren included. We can't be shaking our heads and giving it "tut tut" at any other club when we have that percentage of neds as well.

I must admit, and I know some will disagree, but here goes. I thought Airdrie were better than Livingston. Airdrie looked capable of scoring whereas Livingston employed the spoiling tactics, and fair play....... it worked for them, but they didn't do much else that night. I thought we played well, and at times really well. I thought the Airdrie keeper looked very slow but taking nothing away from the finishing by Morgan and Smith, I believe the keeper could have done better. Reilly seems to pack a punch with his shooting skills (apart from the penalty which my mother could have saved) and took his first goal very well. I thought Irvine played very well and had some good deliveries into the box. Morgan I thought was terrific in the second half. I think it was Baird that had a scary moment in the first half after taking a pass from Samson. The Airdrie forward chased him down, took it off him and brought out a good save from Samson. Good performance all round and no complaints from me. I know we should have scored more but I think we'd all have accepted a 5-0 win at 3pm.

Regardless of who JR & JF have brought in, they obviously believe those individuals are more than capable of doing a job for St Mirren. Those individuals need time to bed in to be part of a team that'll hopefully improve each week. It's far too early to start criticising either the players and or the management team after only a few games. I was at the Livingston game last week and was obviously disappointed in the result, but some on here need to calm down, at least until we've gone through the first round of league games and see where we are then.

To be honest, I didn't notice any bad language from the Livi fans (I was sitting in normal seats next to the camera stand, main stand side) I do however regularly hear a few f**ks being fired by Saints fans at most matches, despite there being a lot of kids present.

I can't see it based on that performance tonight by Saints.

Went to Kebabish on Victoria road on Friday night. The food and service were first class. Also, a good sign being the amount of Asians that were eating in there at the time.

I'm pretty sure (though I haven't checked) the status of other teams in the league with regards to players in and out would have changed, maybe more so than St Mirren. It would be interesting to see which teams are deemed stronger than last season, and which teams are deemed weaker. I'd say Mallan didn't come on to his game until the TNS game. For me, that game was the turning point for St Mirren overall.

So what you're saying is (correct me if I'm wrong) Let's say Govanhill in Glasgow that has a large Muslim community. If they were all peaceful people bar one known extremist that had fought in Syria. If that one extremist was taken off the streets, you're telling me that by doing that the rest of the community would feel alienated????? Do you not think the peaceful Muslims would be more than happy to get the bad apple out of the barre?
