Is it definitely this Friday?
-
We had 30 folk going to corporate hospitality for the Ross county game but this will be cancelled as the Monday, for obvious reasons, doesn't work. It's a shame for the club as I can't imagine there will be many people wanting corporate hospitality on a Monday night.
-
Tough game but we need 3 points. How they come I don't care - results over performances from now until the end of the season.
-
No doubt it will be the night before the game that we sign these players as the board won't want to be paying players when we don't have another game for 12 days...

Ross County V St Mirren Premiership 17/1/15

Nope. He's just a local who's used to the weather and driving conditions in the winter. You'd think we had move to the south east of England going by some of the comments on this thread. -

I was speaking with a colleague in Inverness today and he said everything should be fine for Saturday. -

Yes, far too far! Mind you (and I didnt think this was possible) Wylde did his best today to try and look even more shite Marwood. -

And Marwood setting them all up! -
Gus McPherson and Danny Lennon had good records at keeping us up so should we appoint either of them? I feel that Football has moved on from what a guy like Calderwood offers. Out of interest when was the last time that Calderwood kept a team up?
-
Calderwood or jefferies - comedy gold..... I'd prefer to see us go down the Barraclough type of manager (English lower league experience) than appoint a relic like the two quoted. As for Butcher I doubt that he is interested in another job in Scotland.
-
I can't see that perma tanned *** giving us any charity - he gave us Magennis last year so enough said! The only way we will score is if Jamie Laangfield gets back in their team.

Ictfc V Smfc Spfl Premiership Sunday 4Th January 2015
simondsmfc replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Unfortunately I totally agree with this. Oh well at least, next season, we get to travel to some places we haven't been to for a while... -
If Teale does get the job I would imagine he would bring in an experienced assistant and allow David Longwell to go back to his day job. This could work out well as this person could be someone with 'contacts' in the game whilst at the same time it shows the youths that the opportunity to go to the first team will happen if they perform in the development league. However if it's an appointment until the end of the season I can see it as being the status quo.

Fan Zone At St Mirren Park This Saturday V Motherwell
simondsmfc replied to TopCat's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I'm a bit disappointed to see, that after the fanzone event was marketed as been plenty of room for all, the sold out signs are up?!? I did notice the crude edit on their website which now limits the numbers to 225 and I'm certain this wasn't mentioned before? I have a place booked but most of my mates hadn't got around to doing anything about it yet so it looks like we will be spending our money in a pub than spend it with St mirren... -

If Mark Guidi says it it must be true... Thank God he confirmed this on that well know bastion of quality journalism Radio Clyde. -
What will happen to all the signings motherwell had lined up for January ...

This is a must win or its a straight 3 team shoot out for the 2 relegation spots. -
Friday Football @ Firhill -.19Th September
simondsmfc replied to NeilPar72's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
It's £22 for Friday's match! The £18 is for the diddy cup game which is a total joke and both clubs should hang their heads in shame at the pricing of it. -

Totally agree. Anything less than 3 points and we are done for this season. -
Questions For The Legends Tonight.
simondsmfc replied to shull's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I'm pretty sure that Stewart said the figure was £70k and to make up the shortfall we have removed one player from the squad and still need to find some savings elsewhere. -
Yes, that's what's meant to happen but those debt dodging Lanarkshire bastards seem to have got around this by claiming its a different view as it's a single storey stand.
-
I don't see where my post states we are doomed???? I was merely adding a possible reason for this signing to happen at this stage. Of course we are going to sign more players but I would have thought that other positions needed strengthened before the left back position. I'm sure the 'in the knowers' will be able to advise...
-
Looking at this slightly differently (and apologies if this has already been mentioned) but could it be that there's some interest been shown in Sean Kelly by another club? Otherwise having 4 left backs and only one right back at the club with little cover at centre half is a bit bizarre.
-
What a brilliant team goal that was! Only made better for being at Greyskull for corporate hospitality and going mental in the executive seats in front of the 'club deck loyal'. All the patronising comments that I had endured that day seemed to stop rather quickly...

2nd of May 1998 Shuggie Murray's goal against Stirling Albion is my most treasured goal as if we hadn't won that game we were staring into the abyss of part time football in the third tier and, the more than likely, slow death of the club. I remember being on the small terrace behind the goal at Forthbank and, when the ball ended up in the back of the net I ended up on the 6 yard line - still not sure what happened in the celebrations after that goal. Mind you any goal against the **** or *****, or a goal that clinches promotion/survival is always good!!!!
